Fernden supply and install a range of automated School entrance gates across Hampshire and Southern England. This railing gate replaced a lower double leaf swing set which were left open during the day, the new gate design and colour were chosen and manufactured to match the existing boundary fencing. After the new gate and fence installation, the School can now control access with the integrated automation, intercom and CCTV camera system. For pedestrian access we installed a single leaf gate next to the automated double leaf, this single gate is also fitted with a camera - intercom and magnetic lock. Timber Post and Rail Fencing. For over 30 years Fernden have been suppling and installing fences and gates to a large country estate. Recently we were contacted by them to install treated timber post and rail horse fencing, the fencing is required to divide up large fields into smaller more manageable horse paddocks. Over 3 km of fencing was ordered and installed, which created 15 paddocks of varying sizes, each paddock included a galvanised 4.5 m wide heavy duty galvanised metal field gate.

Recently we were contacted by a facility requiring upgraded secure pedestrian gate sets, these robust anti climb gates were required to prevent individuals climbing out / in. The gates are manufactured from steel, infilled with 358 tight security mesh and galvanised and polyester powder coated green ral 6005. Each of the gates had an enclosed keyed lock integrated into the gate frame, the lock barrels were swapped over with the ones used by the facility - so one key fitted all the locks. Hampshire School Basketball posts and fencing, Fernden recently installed a robust steel twin bar mesh panel fencing system at a Hampshire School. Not only did the School require new strong playground fencing they also wanted integral basket ball posts set within the line of fencing. We visited site, discussed, measured, and quoted for the works. Shortly afterwards we received an official order from the School and we had the materials manufactured. Delivery was organised to coincide with the School half term and we installed the fencing and basketball posts to the designated areas prior to the children and their Teachers returning. Gates with manual digital locks - recently we were asked to supply and install gates on a site to secure the accesses. The client required non-powered manual digital locks for entry / exit - we visited site, viewed the area, measured the widths, and quoted for the works. We offered several different types of manual digital lock and the client’s choice was a Borg easi code, these locks can have their entry / exit codes changed in a matter of seconds - perfect for keeping security in an area where the code has been given out to visitors etc. The double leaf gate was manufactured from box section steel then galvanised and powder coated green ral 6005, over clad with treated timber boards, the single leaf gate was again constructed from box section steel and over clad with v mesh panel fencing.

Security Bollard Installation – during a recent security fencing project we were also asked to supply and install steel parking bollards, these bollards were required to protect EV charging points. We dug in and concreted in the bollards prior to the site being tarmaced. Each charging post had two steel protective bollards, the bollards were manufactured from 114 mm od tube, galvanised and powder coated yellow with black stripes. LPS 1175 SR Rated Fencing & Gates

SR2 Security Fencing - Fernden supply and install all styles of security fencing including LPS 1175 SR rated fencing SR1, SR2 & SR3. All of which can be extended for anti-climb toppings - barbed wire – concertina razor wire etc. For a project in London, we have recently installed over 400 m of 2400 mm high black coated SR2 358 mesh fencing along with LPS 1175 rated gate sets. This SR 2 fencing has been installed to create separate areas / compounds restricting access and increasing the perimeter security the closer you get to the main warehouse building. Alongside the external security fencing we were also employed to install automated rising arm entrance barriers, steel bollards and armco barriers, within the building we installed additional high security fencing and barriers. After a Hampshire School site visit where School safeguarding was discussed and highlighted. Fernden Fencing were called to view the existing 1200 mm high chain-link boundary fencing and we were asked to quote for alternative 1800 mm high fencing. Fernden quoted for 1830 mm high twin bar mesh panel fencing for the majority of the boundary and 1800 mm high bow top railings to the gate entrances, both fences coated blue to match the Schools colours. The fencing quotation was accepted, and a planned start date was agreed. Fernden installed the new fencing, only taking down the existing fencing as they went to keep the site boundary as secure as possible whilst the Hampshire School fencing installation took place.
