A midweek trip to face Holker Old Boys and our first match for 4 weeks, nearly an hour on the road on a Wednesday night π€¦ββοΈ
The first half was a real stalemate. Both sides were organised, competitive, and limited each other to very few clear-cut chances. It was a solid, disciplined performance from both teams going into the break level.
The second half is where the game really came to life. Holker struck first with an absolute rocket π from outside the area β a top finish that gave them the lead.
The Heathwaite lads responded brilliantly. A long clearance from Zack caused problems, and Josh β½οΈreacted quickest to take his chance and bring us level.
From there, it was a proper game of football with both sides pushing. A massive moment came when little Swinny π§€pulled off an outstanding save from a free kick to keep us in it.
We then took the lead from a wicked delivery by Arthur from a corner, and Toby β½οΈ was there at the back post to finish and make it 1-2.
A great game overall with both teams giving everything right to the final whistle.
Man of the Match:
Arthur Harro π well done mate.
