Spring has sprung and we are looking forward to our open days in May and August this year. Paul has been busy creating new beds down by the summerhouse. We are filling them with a central birch surrounded by dogwoods and hellebores and daffodils on one side and a bigger floral bed above the pond. The magnolias have been inspirational this spring and we are looking forward to the azaleas and rhododendrons. What a treasure a warm dry spring can be after years of the wet.

Looking forward to our first NGS opening of the year on Sunday 12 May 11:00 till 4:00. The azaleas and rhododendrons are splendid this year. The sun is going to be out and the tea and cakes are ready for all our visitors.

We are delighted to say that we will have Julie Redfern with her fantastic glass art and Owen Cunningham will be sharing some fantastic sculptures. They include his giant tortoise that was a feature at London zoo for a number of years.
