We are appealing for information after reports of an attempted burglary in Orton Wistow on Wednesday night.

It has been reported two people were caught on CCTV trying door handles of a home in Ashleigh, Orton Wistow, before forcing open a door to a shed, but making off empty handed.

We have been told of similar reports on social media however these have not been reported to us, therefore we are urging anyone who has had their home targeted to get in touch.

We're particularly interested in seeing any CCTV footage of potential offenders or anyone acting suspiciously in the area overnight.”

We’re heading into the time of year where our windows are being opened to get some of that fresh spring air circulating, but unfortunately, historically we see thieves using this as an opportunity to invite themselves into unoccupied homes.
