Happy Humpday! We had the pleasure of installing this 22kW system up in Liverpool! Made up of 56 405W LONGi Solar panels and fitted with Tigo shading optimisers to mitigate any shading caused by the parapet wall.

Our Managing Director, Darran Ford, is looking forward to attending a Community Energy Parliamentary reception next week with Selaine Saxby MP and the Community Energy All Party Parliamentary Group.

The APPG promotes the community-owned and community-run renewable energy sector in Parliament and supports Members in understanding the technical, policy and other aspects related to the sector.

We are delighted to be involved in several community energy groups and the growth of community-led renewable energy programs is going a long way to support the country's ambition of achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Batteries have come down in price significantly over the last couple of years and there are several reasons why you may want to consider one, with or without solar panels:

☀️ Excess energy produced by solar panels, particularly in the summer, can be stored for your future use. This is usually more cost-effective than selling the power back to the grid. ⚡️

☀️ When your energy usage is high and your solar panel production is lower, for example in the winter, you can tap into flexible and low overnight tariffs, such as Octopus Energy's Go or Flux tariffs. Charge your battery at much-reduced rates overnight and use that power through the day when rates would usually be higher. Or sell it back to the grid at peak rates! 🐙

☀️ If your property isn't suitable for solar panels, you can still save money on your energy bills with a battery-only installation, allowing you to benefit from the flexible tariffs mentioned above. 👆🏻

☀️ A battery will essentially offer greater energy independence and over time will save you money. With savvy usage, storage and the selling back of energy, it could even make you money! 💰
