A postcard from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

We’re back in the Netherlands this week with a lovely residential garden project in Rijpwetering, completed by .o.j.van_deer_geest and Jacco, with Ace Resin available locally through WS Products.

The team used Dorset Gold resin-bound surfacing alongside rusty steel borders and soft, organic curves to create a garden that feels natural, considered and full of character.

It’s a great example of how resin-bound can work within the wider garden design rather than simply acting as a surface - complementing the planting, creating practical seating and walking areas, and helping everything flow together.

Best of all, the customer was delighted with the finished result.
Another fantastic project from the teams using Ace across the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

There is something ridiculously satisfying about watching resin mix.
No music, no talking, no complicated explanation - just 11 seconds of AceBound UVR doing its thing.
If this scratched your brain in exactly the right way, you’re welcome. 😂

A postcard from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

This time, we’re in Sliedrecht, where Ace Resin has been used to create the pathways throughout a beautifully landscaped care home garden.
Working with WS Products and , the focus was on creating smooth, wheelchair-accessible and slip-resistant routes that could flow naturally around the planting and help make the garden easy to navigate.

It’s a lovely example of how resin-bound surfacing can become part of the wider landscape rather than simply sitting alongside it.
We’re really enjoying seeing the projects being completed with Ace across the Netherlands - and sharing the people and partnerships behind them.

Things you never thought you’d get excited about until you owned a home:

A cupboard that finally has proper storage.
A successful trip to the garden centre.
A freshly cleaned patio.
Finishing one of those jobs that’s been “on the list” for six months.
Finding the exact shade you wanted.
And, apparently, laying out resin-bound aggregate samples and having very strong opinions about which one works best with the house.

Homeownership does strange things to a person. 😂
What’s the most unexpectedly grown-up thing you now get far too excited about?

There’s a difference between improving your outdoor spa, and adding the little details that make it ridiculously satisfying.

Matching steps. Clean curves. Coordinated aggregate colours. Seamless paths and patios. Bespoke borders. A finish that looks high-maintenance without actually being high-maintenance.

Necessary? Not always. Worth it? We’d say yes.
Which one would make your wishlist?

Summer may have packed up and left, but the garden still needs to earn its keep.

So yes, we’ll be sitting outside in a jumper with a slightly damp cup of tea, confidently telling ourselves we’re lowering the cost-per-use.
British homeownership at its finest. ☔️

Are you still using the garden, or have you officially surrendered to autumn?

“We’ll just tidy up the garden.”
And that’s how it starts.

Maybe sort the path. Actually, the patio too. Should the steps match? What about the entrance? And while we’re here…should we add a border?

Suddenly, your “little garden job” has become a full outdoor-space plan and there are far too many samples involved (though we can help with all of that!)

Homeowners: what project at your house started small and escalated very quickly? 😂

Five seconds. One choice. No changing your mind afterwards. 👀
Choosing a resin-bound colour sounds easy. Right up until you realise how different each finish can make a property feel.
Which one caught your eye first?
And be honest - did you choose in five seconds, or did you have to watch it again? 😂

The garden is technically another room, so renovating it is basically interior design.
That means the path matters. The patio matters. The finish matters. And yes, choosing the right aggregate absolutely counts as a design decision.

We don’t make the homeowner rules - we just enthusiastically support them.

There’s a lot more to a good business partnership than orders, products and paperwork.

During a recent visit to the Netherlands, our Managing Director discovered that Wesley’s dad has a particular weakness for liquorice allsorts - but the brand he loves isn’t readily available over there.
So, of course, a very large box made the journey with us.

It was only a small gesture, but it says a lot about the relationship we’ve built with WS Products. They’re an important part of Ace Resin’s presence in the Netherlands, helping make our resin-bound systems available locally while also providing training and support to contractors.
We’re proud of the professional partnership we’ve developed - but even more so of the genuine relationships behind it.

Because sometimes international business is about products, training and distribution.
And sometimes it’s about making sure someone’s dad gets his favourite sweets. 😂❤️
