Some of the jobs this week

My previous post were deleted as it wasn’t a Monday..
so here’s a brief recap.,

Fixed a live soil pipe (🤢)
Made good damage from a prior roof leak
And finally what good is a fire door that doesn’t open!

No need to worry all have been fixed Just-Like-New!

Decoration job today after a BIG roof leak.

First roof engineer made the leak worst, the 2nd fixed the leak..
But by now the coving had start to come away from walls, and there is damp and mouldy conditions..

Just Like New employed to get the walls and coving looking good again.
And removing the water ingress stains..

This is a work in progress. With a 2nd coat still to do.
So far all the coving damage and wall damage and ceiling damage has been repaired..

Just need to go back for the 2nd coat and touch ups..

It’s not all pretty jobs; sometimes we are called out to emergency’s too and this one was no joke. (Strong stomach required).

Take this weeks fun and games for example..
a proper dirty job!
a job that needed to be fixed properly, promptly and urgently!

Backstory - A car has accidentally reversed into the shared soil pipe; cracking the pipe and exposing the waste pipe and its contents 🤮 (you can fill in the blanks).. to the environment.

As this is a block of flats, the pipe had to be fixed whist live.. 🤢..
which meant working swiftly to fix the issue while avoiding flushed unpleasantries thanks to lighting reactions times..

Shortly after the call in, we were at site, tools and materials in hand to make a good solid repair.

2hrs later it’s Just Like New again. .

Another happy customer.

Why and when does a post with some basic information to aid draft exclusion during the up coming weather drop to -8•C…. cross the line and become a business advert?

My posts are constantly being pulled by admin.. I understand the sale ad’s (I’ll hold them back till Mondays), but the information posts.. that there just to help people and their own DIY endeavours..

Little jobs day today..
First up a very draughty front door.

New seals fitted to the frame and the door.
The broken door receiver fixed (just Like New)

Now the door operates exactly as intended, Locks securely, and most importantly for this job kept the draft out and the homeowners warm!

Don’t forget to get your house is ready for winter ..

Next job exterior pipework insulation - to prevent freezing over winter..

Repair made good by Just Like New..

Not the biggest of jobs today.. but a job which has had 2 separate engineers(?) before me..

All that was needed was to mount the blinds..
But to make sure it’s secure enough for when the cat likes do his nighttime ninja warrior parkour is still stays up!

Pretty simple fix really.
I always struggle to understand why solid wall plugs are used in a cavity plasterboard wall..

Customer believed they needed stronger brackets.. but in fact just needed to be fitted properly..

After a quick fix the blind is just-like-new and equally important, Ninja 🥷 Cat 🐈‍⬛ proof!
