Over the Easter holidays, we were proud to deliver a full kitchen renovation for the Ormerod Base at Marlborough School, Woodstock, a space dedicated to supporting young people with a range of disabilities. This kitchen sits at the heart of the base and is used daily as a central hub for both staff and young people.
With the school closed, this project was carefully planned and delivered over an 8 day schedule, all without compromising on the high standards of quality we pride ourselves on.
This project was designed and project managed by working in collaboration with for all demolition and carpentry. Every other element was brought together by our incredible teams of skilled contractors, all working towards one shared goal, creating a truly accessible, functional and inclusive environment.
The new kitchen has been thoughtfully designed to support all users, featuring state of the art electric rise and fall units, a dual height central island for both standing and wheelchair use, improved storage and a more intuitive layout throughout. We also installed specialist acoustic flooring which is hard wearing, non slip and an essential addition for young people with sensory needs.
We are also grateful to Howdens Witney for their generous contribution to the project, and the Friends of the Ormerod Charity who have been committed to fundraising.
