This is a first for me, a personal post but still workplace related and one I’m very proud to share.
My daughter, Georgie Hubbard , has launched her first book, The Bold Move. Published by Wiley, it is available in all major book stores across Australia and now in the UK via Amazon and all major book distributors.
Georgina left the UK at 20 years old with no degree, no contacts, and no clear plan — just determination, growing confidence, and a willingness to take risks.
From working across Europe in different industries to Co-founding a very successful IT recruitment business in based in Melbourne, Australia, her journey sits at the heart of the book.
The Bold Move is written for women who can sometimes downplay their achievements, hesitate to speak up, or feel overlooked for promotion. Drawing on a decade of recruitment conversations, coaching sessions, and executive interviews, Georgina offers a practical guide to building confidence, navigating career change, negotiating pay and promotions, developing a personal brand, and future-proofing careers in the age of AI.
At its core, the book is about confidence, courage, and taking ownership of your career — not waiting for permission, but making bold, informed moves.
For anyone leading organisations, building teams, or thinking about the opportunities available to their daughters, partners, or the next generation of leaders, this is a timely and thought-provoking read, which I would highly recommend.
