Harmonious Alchemy
This triptych is a visual interpretation of existence itself, exploring the perpetual cycle of creation, life, and renewal. Each panel represents a distinct state of being within the universe’s rhythm, unified through texture, tone, and gilded precision.
On the right, the globus of matter formed with contact adhesive symbolises the primordial essence before life, the moment of potential when mass begins to gather, preparing for creation. The central panel, alive with golden rag-rolled texture and sealed beneath a transparent high-gloss glaze, embodies life itself. The mandala, radiant yet restrained, anchors the composition as a symbol of order and consciousness emerging from chaos.
The black line separating the centre from the left signifies the collapse of existence, a black hole consuming form and energy, the boundary between creation and dissolution. Beyond it, the left panel expresses uniformed chaos, a field of deliberate splashes and directional movement that mark the reset of life where the universe prepares to begin anew.
Across the three panels, colour evolves from deep indigo and turquoise into gold, then fades into pale tones, mirroring the continuum of birth, decay, and regeneration. Selective gilding and beeswax tinting unify the composition, while subtle glazes and distressing reveal the layered history of each surface.
Harmonious Alchemy is both process and philosophy, an exploration of how order arises from disorder, how endings become beginnings, and how every act of creation carries within it the echo of renewal.
