Looking back over previous projects, in 2025 RBS completed work on the conservation works to the South Elevation of Osterley House, Surrey, a National Trust property.
Work on the project included;
· Sash Windows: Full overhaul, easing and adjustment of existing sash windows to improve the operation and ensure the smooth opening and closing of them.
· Timber Repairs: Repair and conservation of defective timber elements using Repair Care resin repair systems, including the window components and sills where required.
· Stonework: We conducted localised repairs to defective stonework, and replaced severely deteriorated or missing stone elements using matching materials and utilising traditional techniques.
· Leadwork: Inspection and repair of the existing lead roof coverings, including repairs, weathering and detailing as necessary to ensure the roof remains watertight.
· Pineapple Finial: Careful removal of the existing high-level pineapple finial, including protection of the surrounding area, followed by the reinstatement of a new matching finial.
All works were undertaken with due regard to the existing historic structure, retaining and repairing original materials wherever practicable and if not using compatible materials. RBS used conservation-led techniques throughout.
