Just completed a manual roof de-moss in Binfield ✅
For this job we removed the moss by hand using specialist scraping tools. This is the correct and safest method for tiled roofs. Each tile is carefully scraped to remove the moss build-up without damaging the surface.
❌ No jet washing used
We do not pressure wash roofs because high-pressure water can:
• Damage roof tiles
• Strip away the protective surface of the tile
• Force water underneath the tiles which can lead to leaks
• Shorten the lifespan of the roof
✔ Hand scraping is the proper method
By removing the moss manually we protect the tiles, avoid water ingress, and ensure the roof stays in good condition.
After the moss is removed properly, the roof is left clean and ready for treatment to slow future regrowth.

✅ Another Roof Upgrade Completed in Theale ✅
Here at N.H Roofing, we’ve just finished installing a brand-new modern roof upgrade on a property in Theale.
This roof previously had spray foam insulation, which had trapped water and moisture over time. Unfortunately, this caused severe issues including:
Rotten battens
Rotten fascias
Damage to the rafters
🔧 What we did:
Fully removed all spray foam insulation
Stripped out all old felt and battens
Replaced any rotten rafters where required
Removed old wooden fascias and installed new PVC fascias
Installed new soffits and new guttering
Fitted eaves trays for proper water management
Installed breathable felt and pressure-treated battens
🏠 The finish:
Installed modern Marley grey tiles
Added a dry ridge system and dry verge system

✅ Woodley Project Completed

We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of our recent roofing project in Woodley.
The works included the installation of new felt and battens throughout, ensuring a solid, long-lasting roofing system. We also re-cemented all roof verges, finishing them with black cement verge mortar for a clean, durable, and weatherproof result.
All verges on the property have now been fully renewed, improving both the appearance and the structural integrity of the roof. As an added benefit, the roof is now fully sealed — no more squirrels or unwanted pests gaining access.
