STAFF WANTED – TREE SURGERY / ARBORIST/ GROUND STAFF

Thames Valley Arborists Ltd are looking for reliable staff to join our growing team carrying out tree surgery, vegetation clearance, and arboricultural works across Berkshire and the Valley.

We undertake commercial, domestic, and utility contracts, working with companies such as SSE, UK Power Networks, Scottish Power, and National Highways, so we are looking for hardworking individuals who want to be part of a professional team.

Requirements:
• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
• preferred
• Cs30/31
• Reliable, hardworking and good time keeping
• Ability to work as part of a team
• CSCS / chainsaw tickets beneficial (training may be considered)

Work includes:
• Tree surgery operations
• Vegetation clearance
• Utility arboriculture
• Site clearance works
• Use of chippers, chainsaws and plant machinery

Location:
Based in Wokingham, Berkshire – working across the Thames Valley region.

The Role
• Delivering high-standard arboricultural work including pruning, reductions, dismantling, and removals
• Operating specialist equipment in line with industry best practice
• Working efficiently as part of a professional, safety-focused team
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and site presentation
• Upholding the company’s reputation for quality, reliability, and professionalism

Essential Requirements
• Recognised tree surgery qualifications (NPTC / LANTRA)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong technical knowledge of arboriculture and safe working practices
• Professional attitude with attention to detail
• Ability to work confidently in a team and independently when required

Desirable
• Climbing and aerial rescue qualifications
• First Aid +F
• Previous experience working on high-value residential or commercial sites

We’re Hiring – Utility Arborists & Ground Staff (Self-Employed)

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our teams on a self-employed basis.

About the Role

Work will be carried out on the UKPN network, working around powerlines.
We also undertake a range of domestic and commercial arboricultural work.

Positions Available
• Qualified Arborists
• Ground Staff/trainee

Requirements
• Full driving licence – essential
• UA tickets – minimum UA1 required
• Physically fit – this is demanding work
• Good sense of humour and strong work ethic
• Utility work experience welcomed, but not essential for the right candidates
• We operate a variety of equipment, including spider lifts, cherry pickers, excavators, and more.

Location & Schedule
. Wokingham and surrounding areas. 
• Working away in the Peterborough and King’s Lynn areas
• Monday to Friday, with weekend work available upon request
• Accommodation provided
