PLANNING APPROVED ✅

Great news for our Sonning project; planning permission has now been approved!

When we shared this project previously, we’d just submitted the planning application for a single-storey and part double-storey extension, designed to create a home that better suits our clients’ family and the way they live.

With planning now secured, we can move confidently into the next stage and begin progressing the Building Regulations package.

It’s always rewarding to see a project move from the initial ideas and planning process towards becoming a reality, and we’re looking forward to continuing the journey with our clients.

If you’re considering extending or altering your home and aren’t sure where to start, we’d be happy to guide you through the process with clear, honest advice from day one.

PLANNING APPROVED | WALNUT TREE COTTAGE 🏡

We’re delighted to confirm that planning permission has been granted for alterations and a part two-storey, part first-floor extension at Walnut Tree Cottage.

The approved scheme includes two side dormers and the replacement of an existing structurally compromised element.

The Planning Officer concluded that the proposals are proportionate, respect the character of the existing dwelling and its Green Belt setting, and can be delivered without unacceptable impacts on neighbouring properties, highways or ecology.

A fantastic result for our clients, and we look forward to seeing the project progress to the next stage.

A bungalow reimagined for modern family living in Crowthorne.

This single-storey rear extension transformed a compartmentalised home into a bright, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with a stronger connection to the garden. By enlarging the kitchen, improving circulation and introducing electronically operated rooflights, the design maximises natural light while framing views of the landscape beyond.

From Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval through to construction, this project delivered a contemporary, family-focused home designed for everyday living.

A great project to be part of alongside , who did a fantastic job bringing the design to life.

🚨🏡 Throwing it back to one of our favourite bespoke new build projects in Finchampstead.

Every project begins with a conversation about how a home can better support the people who live in it. For this family, the answer wasn’t an extension. It was a completely new beginning.

Our clients loved the location of their existing bungalow, but it had reached the point where extending and remodelling was no longer a practical or viable solution. Rather than trying to force additional accommodation into a building that couldn’t meet their long-term needs, we worked with them to explore an alternative approach: replacing the existing property with a bespoke new build that would maximise the potential of the site while creating a home designed specifically for modern family living.

The result is a contemporary home that responds sensitively to its surroundings while delivering the space, functionality and architectural quality the clients had envisioned. The striking timber-clad entrance creates a strong focal point, complemented by crisp white render, carefully proportioned glazing and a simple, elegant material palette that gives the home a timeless character.

Internally, the layout was designed around the way the family live, with bright, open-plan spaces, strong visual connections to the garden and a considered balance between shared living areas and private retreats. Every aspect of the design was carefully considered to create a home that not only met the brief, but will continue to serve the family for many years to come.

Looking back at projects like this is a reminder that great architecture isn’t always about adding more. Sometimes, the best solution is to start again. By replacing a home that could no longer meet our clients’ needs, we were able to unlock the full potential of the site and create a home that is both contemporary and enduring.

🚨PLANNING SUBMITTED 🚨

Every project comes with its own challenges, and no planning application is ever a sure thing. Our role is to give our clients the best possible chance of success by providing clear advice, thoughtful design, and a well-prepared application from the very beginning.

We’re really pleased to be working with our clients on this Sonning project, which includes a single-storey and part double-storey extension designed to create a home that better suits their family’s needs.

We’ve recently submitted the planning application and, while we always wait for the outcome before making assumptions, we’ve already started preparing for the next stage so we can move efficiently into the Building Regulations package once planning is approved.

A big thank you to our clients for their kind words and for trusting us with their home. We look forward to continuing the journey with them and seeing this project come to life.

If you’re thinking about extending your home, we’d be happy to guide you through the process with honest advice and a clear plan from day one.

🚨 PLANNING PENDING! 🚨

We’re excited to finally share the next chapter of our Knowle Hill project.

If you caught our previous post, you’ll know this wasn’t just another extension. The existing structure had suffered from subsidence, giving our clients a difficult choice. Repair what was there, or seize the opportunity to create something exceptional.

Together, we chose the latter.

Our proposal transforms the affected part of the property into a beautiful, contemporary home that complements its rural setting while providing bright, open spaces designed for modern family living.

Every project presents a challenge. We love turning those challenges into homes our clients can be proud of.

The application is now officially pending planning approval, and we can’t wait to take you along on the journey. Here’s hoping for a positive outcome so we can bring this vision to life.

🏡 Sometimes the best projects start with a problem.

When our clients first got in touch, they weren’t dreaming about a bigger kitchen or beautiful open-plan living. They had a much bigger concern.

Their existing extension had been affected by subsidence, leaving them questioning whether it could even be saved.

After assessing the property, it became clear that the best long-term solution wasn’t to keep patching up the old extension—it was to start again.

Now we’re helping transform that uncertainty into excitement.

The new design will replace the failing structure with a modern, light-filled extension that’s built on secure foundations and designed around the family’s lifestyle. More space. Better flow. A home that’s ready for the future.

Every home has a story. This one just happens to begin with rebuilding from the ground up.

Follow along as we take you through the journey—from the existing structure to the finished transformation.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Built for a Growing Family | Shiplake, Oxfordshire📍

Every successful extension starts long before the first brick is laid.

For this family home in Shiplake, our journey looked like this:

📍 Understanding the Brief
We worked closely with the homeowners to understand how they wanted to live, creating a design that would support their growing family for years to come.

📐 Planning & Feasibility Study
After carrying out a detailed planning and feasibility study, we developed a design that maximised the property’s potential while remaining sympathetic to its surroundings and planning constraints.

🏡 Creating More Space
A contemporary double-storey rear extension unlocked significant additional living space across both floors, transforming the way the home functions.

🍽️ The Heart of the Home
The ground floor was opened up to create a much larger kitchen and family space, perfect for everyday living, entertaining and spending time together.

🎮 Flexible Living
A dedicated leisure room and indoor gym were introduced, giving the family versatile spaces that can evolve with their lifestyle.

🌿 Bringing the Outdoors In
Large bi-fold doors open onto a new social patio area, creating a seamless connection between the home and garden.

🛏️ A Better First Floor
Upstairs, the extension allowed for larger bedrooms throughout, together with a spacious new principal en-suite, providing greater comfort and functionality.

⚡ Designed for the Future
Solar panels were incorporated into the new roof design, helping improve the home’s energy efficiency, support a stronger EPC rating, reduce running costs and create a more sustainable home for years to come.
