📖 Our Journey So Far – From Local Electrician to Lighting Industry Leader

1986 – It all began when our director, Paul, started out as a self-employed electrician, laying the groundwork for what would become a legacy in electrical services.

2008 – After over 20 years as a sole trader, Paul established Central Electrical Contracts Ltd, turning his trusted trade into a growing business.

2012 – Spotting a common customer need for quality lighting, Lighting R Us was born: offering supply and install under one roof, right from CEC's office.

2015 – Lighting R Us moved into a larger showroom around the corner, becoming Wolverhampton's largest lighting showroom and serving the public in style.

2018 – Central Electrical Contracts Ltd outgrew its original premises and relocated just behind the showroom. With more space came new hires, and significant growth.

2021 – A new adventure begins: Central Electrical Appliances is launched, offering a dedicated appliance showroom ahead of the Macrome branch transition.

2022 – Following the full refurbishment of newly purchased premises on Macrome Road, CEC, Lighting R Us, and Central Electrical Appliances open their doors under one dynamic hub.

With continued demand across Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Birmingham and far beyond, the future for Central Electrical Contracts Ltd is looking bright.
