So, whats been going on since I shut? Well I'm pleased to announce the opening of run by myself and two other experienced technicians!

We are based in North Acton (about 10 mins from North acton tube) and are offering the same quality film processing you came to expect from the latent lab!

It’s with a sad heart I am announcing that the Latent Lab will not be reopening after this Christmas period.

I would like to thank all of my wonderful customers for your support over the last 1.5 years I have been opening. You guys have made it all worth it.

As some of you will know I started the lab during covid running from home, since then I have ended up investing in some fantastic machinery such as my Agfa film processor and the Fuji frontier I use for scans and have been able to provide services matching other established labs from the comfort of my own home.

However at this point I have taken up a full time position elsewhere in order to earn some cash which will eventually result in me reopening some point in the future with a proper lab. I am unsure about the time period in which this will take and unfortunately the lab work takes up too much of my time in order to keep it running alongside a full time job.

Any orders currently outstanding will be completed and as of now I am closed for orders.

Here we have some more BW goodness from this time on the amazing Ortho 80 Plus!

Ortho 80 plus is a very interesting film as unlike most B&W films it isnt sensitive to red light! It gives lovely contrast and general punch alongside veeery fine grain.

A stunning portrait by music shot on XP2! For those who haven't tried it XP2 is a 400 speed black and white film that is developed in C-41 colour chemistry and its a underrated master piece! Beautiful tonality and oodles of dynamic range!
