We installed socket outlets in this factory unit, we wired them in SWA cable and PVC conduit. The cable runs were fairly long so the cables were sized to ensure that Maximum Zs values of the protective devices were not exceeded and volt drop was within limits.

This property was well overdue a consumer unit upgrade. The house was having a new kitchen fitted so we changed it as part of those works.

The owner had been putting up with random tripping of the upfront RCD for years due to a build up of earth leakage from lots of IT equipment and other appliances they had plugged in.

We installed a Lewden RCBO consumer unit with double pole RCBO’s and Surge Protection Device. They have had no problems with unwanted tripping since 👍🏻
