If you haven’t already seen it on Instagram,
Matt Underwood Woodturning and I were fortunate enough to spend a suny Thursday collecting not one but two PK’s and a DRA bandsaw. Thanks to him for providing transport and every ratchet he owns!
Matt’s is a green gen 2, around 1938, whereas the grey one is a much later gen 4 of 1956 similar to that of Jack Forsberg I believe. A 40’s DRA also accidentally fell onto the trailer. With possibly the find of the year, the Gen 4 was complete with the double mitre and the protractor. The double mitre also has the (original I believe) bar for the flip down stop (anyone have one for sale?!). There is slight damage to the rear of the double mitre and the protractor is missing the bar but I can’t complain!
I’m pretty certain the crown guard isn’t original but the original switch however is in fantastic condition.
Interestingly, the fence casting is stamped PJ (the saw’s predecessor).
And finally a monster 18” blade with an abnormally large banana for scale. P.S. the blade new would cost me more than the saw 🥲
