A recent job in Worcester. A garage door that wouldn't open, the unlocking k**b would only turn about 20 degrees rather than 90 degrees.
It's usually the same fault.
The problem is caused when the customer pulls the garage door down by the locking rods rather than the handle or pull cord. It bends one of the lock body arms.
This one had the cord wrapped around the locking rod causing the same problem.
Opened with my home made tools.

A recent job at a student property in St Johns, Worcester. Students reported they couldn't secure the back door.
As usual, the multipoint lock had failed causing the main problem. The handles fell apart when I removed them , and the lock cylinder was a bit sticky.
All renewed and locking as it should.

Seems to be a common fault on new build properties fitted with Winkhaus multipoint door locks.The bolt or hooks don't fully retract, a sign that the mechanism is failing.
Caused by poor adjustment and having to force the handle up to lock.

A recent job in Pershore. A very old window mechanism, unique to Coldseal Windows back in the 80's, they've been obsolete for years.
I worked out what mechanisms would replace them quite a few years ago.
New mechanism, handle and fame keeps.
All completed on the first visit.

A recent job in Droitwich. A failed obsolete Yale mechanism in the customers back door. I always carry an alternative mech to replace these, as there's quite a few within my working area.
The frame locking points and and the door need small modifications for them to fit , but once fitted they operate as well as the original.

A recent job in Honeymans Gardens, Droitwich.
Nice quality hardwood doors. This one had a failed multipoint lock, worn handles and worn lock cylinder. The multipoint lock is obsolete but a later model can be adapted to fit and operate better than the original.
