I safely removed the old fuse board, relocated the consumer unit to a more suitable position and upgraded the installation at the same time to bring everything up to current standards fully tested and certified ✅

Fault found / rectified and consumer unit upgrade completed this week ✔️

Customer was experiencing intermittent tripping issues throughout the property. After carrying out fault finding and assessment, I diagnosed excessive earth leakage on the existing RCD setup causing nuisance tripping.

Following discussion with the customer, we agreed a full consumer unit upgrade was the best long-term solution — improving reliability, safety, and bringing the installation more in line with current regulations.

The new board now provides:⚡ RCBO protection⚡ Improved fault discrimination⚡ Removed nuisance tripping⚡ Safer and more reliable installation

Another EV charger installed this week ⚡🚗

This one was the new Zappi GLO EV charger, and it definitely came with its challenges. The mains supply was located on the first floor, which meant a 45m cable run to reach the car park.

The install involved running through roof spaces, carefully dropping down walls, and then trenching out to the parking area to get the charger exactly where it was needed. Not the quickest route, but the neatest and most practical solution for the property.

All completed, tested, and ready for charging 🔋✅
