Matthews Construction is a family owned and run multi award winning company that was established in 2004. e homes at Lower Broadheath, a mixed development of 3, 4 & 5 bedroom family homes and an exclusive gated 35 mixed development comprising of apartments and family homes in Worcestershire. Matthews Construction works in partnership with MSquared Developments. MSquared Developments is the product of a multi project merger between two of the region’s premier house developers, Matthews Construction & McMinn Developments. Matthews City & Country Homes are building our house at Rosebank. This site is a mixed housing development, located in Worcester city. The properties are styled with Georgian design principals and proportions, matching the design language of the surrounding homes. The scheme is carefully planned with views onto a communal square and surrounding green areas.

Lunchtime on day 1 and big thank you to the team at Plastech for allowing us the use of their yard for our pitstop. The weather is very much against us at the moment but the camaraderie and the spirit amongst the cyclists remains good. Let’s keep fingers crossed that the sun makes an appearance this afternoon and the team get to dry out!

This morning saw the start of Matthews Construction’s annual Tour de Lyme 2025. This sees many colleagues, friends and family undertaking a 2-day cycle challenge from Malvern to Lyme Regis. As some may know, we do this to raise vital funds for Sarcoidosis UK. We sadly lost our cousin, James, to this disease in July 2015. This year’s ride has added poignancy as James’s best friend, Jack Tallet, sadly passed away in July from a diabetic hypoglycaemia. Jack had cycled with us numerous times. As such, the 2025 Tour de Lyme is in memory of James and Jack.

All funds raised are being shared between Sarcoidosis UK and Diabetes UK. If you are able, please donate to these fantastic charities via the link below and spare a thought for the team on their epic cycling challenge.
