🏛️ Lichfield Old Library Project Update

We’re back on site in Lichfield today as work continues to progress well on this heritage building.

All insulation and basecoat works are now complete, with the team spending yesterday applying the primer coat ready for the silicone render application.

If all goes to plan, rendering works should be completed early next week before final clean down and installation of the stone resin-coated architectural features to the window heads and sills.

Great progress from the team on another specialist restoration and rendering project.

🧱 Lichfield Old Library Update

We’re back on site in Lichfield today, continuing work on this external wall insulation project using Class A1 fire-rated breathable mineral wool.

The team are currently finishing off the remaining insulation and have started fitting mesh corner beads around the windows to get everything ready for the next stage.

Our aim is to have the base coat applied by the end of the week as the system starts to come together.

Projects like this are all about proper preparation and using the right materials to ensure long-term performance.

🧱 Britannia Square Update - Worcester

A few weeks ago, we removed all of the old failing render to allow the walls to properly dry out due to the amount of trapped moisture within the building fabric.

This week the team have been applying the consolidation coat before moving onto the insulated lime and cork system. Everything is now starting to take shape, and the walls are already beginning to dry well, which is a really positive sign.

The next stage will be applying a fine lime finish before the property is decorated using breathable potassium silicate paint.

Projects like this highlight the importance of using breathable materials on older properties to help manage moisture correctly while improving thermal performance.
