The Rise in Building Costs

The cost of carrying out home improvements in the UK increased by 61% between January 2021 and January 2022. The costs of building a standard three-bedroom semi-detached home in the UK increased by 14% in 2021.

The price of materials, supply challenges, high demand, war in Ukraine, inflation, Brexit... it's all having an impact.

What's a brick slip wall?

We couldn't alter the appearance of this gable end rebuild due to planning permission and we didn't want to add the weight of a heavy steel to replace the failed beam so what did we do?

We removed the existing bricks, sent them to specialists https://ajbrickcutters.co.uk/ who cut them down to 25mm thick brick slips. Job done 😊
