Recently completed re-lay of this porcelain patio. It was only laid a year ago! (swipe to see the before’s ➡️) and the workmanship (if you can call it that) was truly awful! Every thing that could be wrong was wrong. Levels were all over the place, so much so they had a 5m x 1.5m wide 15mm deep puddle in the middle every time it rains, joint widths all over the place, incorrect blade used for the cuts meaning the edges were all chipped, out of square to the house which meant the grout line against the house ran from 5mm to 55mm at the other end! tiles loose, grout falling out - it goes on! All the tiles were lifted, adhesive and remaining grout cleaned off and all re-laid correctly and to perfection now 😊👌🏻This was completed by a contractor on checkatrade (not to say all on there are bad) and that could start in a “couple of weeks time” so remember recommendation is usually best and contractors that are busy are usually worth waiting for!
