Hope you all have a wonderful time! It’s been a busy old year here, so thanks so much for your custom and entrusting me with your amazing works of art!

In a sea of fabulousness that has passed through the workshop this little ‘Lowry’ (the customer doesn’t know if it’s genuine or not) was probably my favourite. Originally, we’d decided to frame it with a simple oak frame but the more a looked at it the more I felt it deserved something more. The edges need to be seen, it’s history exposed, genuine or not! So we picked out a tiny bit of green in the centre of the painting to match to the frame and gave it a more ‘museum piece’ look to it. It’s the really enjoyable part of the framing process! Elevating work without it being all about the frame.

Anyhoo, enough of my waffle, go have something to drink, a mince pie and lots of fun, ho ho ho!

A couple of beautiful Panamanian Molas textile art here. Molas are made by the indigenous Guna women, featuring vibrant, multi-layered panels using a technique called reverse appliqué.

We couldn’t find a vibrant enough mountboard to stitch the fabric to, so these, and the spacers, were hand painted so the backing and spacers work as an opposite to the other frames colour.

Hand painted frames in ‘Atomic Red’ and ‘Phthalo Green’, finished with Decorators Varnish, with hand painted spacers and backing board.

It’s the second week of and if you go along to Venue 44 (you should!) you can see some of ’s amazing linocut prints including one of his latest creations ‘Hey Ernie’. Part three of my weekend post fest is this print, Factory Tower IV, showing part of the old cement works in Shoreham and is a combination of monoprinting and screenprinting techniques.

Yass!!! Second post in two days, I rock 🤪

Yesterday a said I’d tell you where you can get your mitts on one of ‘Peterhead’ print right here in Worthing Town.

You need to get down to the wonderfully rebellious on Warwick Street where you can see the framed prints in this post as well as some unframed prints and mixed media pieces on wood, along with an eclectic mix of contemporary art.

Framed with a deep rebate narrow Obeche moulding, hand painted with ‘Loft White’, finished with Decorators Varnish, with white spacers.

Only a couple of weeks left to see beautiful ‘Peterhead’ screenprint gracing the walls of the RA Summer Exhibition 2025. If you were hoping to buy one of these prints, sadly for you and happily for Clare, they’re all sold out.

But… I know where you can get your hands on one in good old Sunny Worthing. I’ll let you know where tomorrow - yes, I’m going to post two days in a row (rather than twice a year 😂).

Want to see some fantastic portrait painting this week? Then look no further than the Contemporary British Portrait Painters (CBPP) exhibition at the Department Store in Brixton, featuring the work of over 60 leading portrait artists celebrating the range and power of figurative painting in the UK.

This fantastic portrait is, of course, the work of and is her tribute to Frank Auerbach who has been a huge influence on her.

On until Saturday 5th July.
