Small actions can make a big difference. 💙

After hearing that Turning Tides' food supplies were running desperately low – at one point down to just three tins of tomatoes – the LDS team in Worthing rallied together to support their Harvest Food Donation Appeal.

Our team donated a range of food items, along with a big box of bamboo toilet rolls purchased by LDS from Who Gives A Crap, to help replenish much-needed supplies.

The donations will support Turning Tides across its community hubs and supported housing projects, helping provide breakfasts and emergency food parcels for people experiencing homelessness across the county.

Last year alone, Turning Tides supported 978 people experiencing homelessness, providing thousands of meals to people who might otherwise have gone without.

We're really pleased to have been able to contribute and support such an important organisation within our local community. 💙

Leak detection… but this time on the water. ⛴️💧

LDS were appointed to investigate rainwater ingress affecting the accommodation of a barge moored in Chichester Harbour, with water appearing below the top deck in the vicinity of the wheelhouse.

Our engineer carried out targeted leak detection testing to the EPDM waterproofing system, identifying defects around the vent detail, EPDM seam joint and field sheet, along with deterioration to the surrounding wheelhouse upstands and sealant.

The investigation successfully identified areas requiring remedial waterproofing works, allowing the client to move forward with targeted repairs rather than guesswork.

A slightly different location for the LDS team — but the same objective: find the source. 🔍💧
