Rodd Brickwork get most of our work from repeat business and recommendations - this newly laid area of block paving was for a customer we have previously completed lots of work for, including - a kitchen, an extension, fencing, a bathroom, garden works and more & we have another extension booked for them to be completed next year.

A lovely review for our recently completed new roof, lantern light in the shower room & more...
"The primary work was to strip and replace all of the roof tiles with a number of ancillary tasks. Rodd Brickwork coordinated all of the work including; timely provision of scaffolding and rubbish skips, chimney removal, flat roof renovation, loft refurbishment, installation of new windows, and additionally some electrics, plumbing, plastering and painting activities. All this was achieved despite the intrusion of the Covid pandemic and inclement weather disrupting intended schedules.
When the work was completed, the site was left in a tidy condition."

Our special Rodd Brickwork jump for Goring & District Riding Club was out in action again at the weekend in the fantastic sunshine. Thank you to LRG Photography for this fantastic photo!

We support lots of local charities, including Ferring Country Centre, Worthing Pride and St Barnabas House - our local community is so important to us as a small, Worthing company.

Take a look at this beautiful family home we extended to create a new kitchen, dining & lounge. Our customer said "We looked at a number of builders when looking at our extension work and found Stuarts approach great and very open to discussion. He was also great with our little one who just wanted to be involved, even giving him a Hi Vis of his own and letting him help at certain stages. Really made it easier to have the work done with children about. Quality of the work is great and Stuart was open to explaining what was being done at each stage. Great support when looking at the design of the extension and how this would interact with existing space and also future use. Always took the time to ensure we knew what was happening and to come and discuss any questions, especially with the Pandemic happening at the same time."

We have supported Worthing Pride since the beginning & will continue to always support this amazing & so important event in our town.🏳️‍🌈

Happy Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈 On a hot summer’s night in New York on June 28, 1969, police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village, which resulted in bar patrons, staff, and neighborhood residents rioting onto Christopher Street outside. Among the many leaders of the riots was a black, trans, bisexual woman, Marsha P. Johnson, leading the movement to continue over six days with protests and clashes. The message was clear — protestors demanded the establishment of places where LGBT+ people could go and be open about their sexual orientation without fear of arrest.

Pride Month is largely credited as being started by bisexual activist Brenda Howard. Known as ‘The Mother of Pride,’ Brenda organized Gay Pride Week and the Christopher Street Liberation Day Parade a year after the Stonewall Riots. This eventually morphed into what we now know as the New York City Pride March and was the catalyst for the formation of similar parades and marches across the world.

Speaking of the rainbow flag, it was actually gay politician Harvey Milk who asked a talented designer friend, Gilbert Baker, to design an all-encompassing symbol to take to San Francisco’s Pride March in 1978. Sadly, Harvey Milk was assassinated along with Mayor George Moscone on November 23, 1978, in San Francisco City Hall by Dan White, a disgruntled former supervisor who was angry at Milk for lobbying against having him reappointed on the Board of Supervisors.
