When the subfloor isn't right, you can't simply lay the flooring and hope for the best.

One of our more challenging healthcare projects was the Child Development Centre at Crawley Hospital.

The project involved a full vinyl cap and cove system across:

• Prep rooms
• Toilets & shower rooms
• Corridors
• Offices
• Consultation rooms
• Rehabilitation rooms

The additional preparation work presented significant challenges and meant the project ultimately exceeded the original budget. But it still finished on time and to the highest standards and there's an extra achievement we're particularly proud of.

Just two weeks after completion, the project won the IHEEM Refurbishment Project of the Year award, won by Jefferson Sheard Architects.

This started as a flooring project... it turned into much more🍽️👀

Sometimes a project reveals more problems than expected 🤔

What started as a kitchen refurbishment at Beeches Nursing Home, Worthing, quickly uncovered loose wall tiles, damaged walls, exposed cables, power socket issues and years of wear and tear that needed addressing before the new finishes could be installed.

They knew it was time to deal with the hidden issues properly rather than covering them up.

So we took it on.

And the result? A full strip-out of the existing finishes and a clean, hygienic, watertight kitchen environment built to withstand the demands of a busy care home.

The project included:
✅ Removal of existing finishes
✅ Wall repairs and preparation
✅ Hygienic wall cladding installation
✅ Full degrease and floor preparation
✅ Latex smoothing compound installation
✅ Safety vinyl with cap and cove for a watertight finish
✅ Supply and installation of a new suspended ceiling

McDonald’s, Herne Bay 🍔
Project completed.

Another commercial flooring project successfully completed for Gallamast Construction.

The works included:

🔹 Full plywood preparation
🔹 Cap & coved safety vinyl
🔹 Fully welded joints for a seamless, hygienic finish
🔹 Stair nosings fitted and finished to a high standard

A detailed installation requiring careful preparation and attention to detail throughout.

Another project completed on time and to our usual high standard. 💪

Project completed: Morriston Hospital, Wales 🏥

Another successful healthcare flooring project completed for ModuleCo, one of our long-term clients.

We supplied and installed vinyl flooring with cap and cove detailing throughout the hospital, creating a durable and hygienic finish suitable for a demanding healthcare environment.
