Today saw another productive day at the Café courtyard at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, John was busy putting in some more lovely plants. Weeding and general tidying up completed, what a difference a couple of months make, lots of plants in flower. Also commenced weeding the Prayer room courtyard untill rain stopped play. A huge thank you to all our volunteers this morning, with the help of our volunteers from Consultancy Ltd we managed to transform Café Kim courtyard from a very overgrown garden to looking amazing. We really appreciated their help and they all said they enjoyed their time with us. Here are the before and after photos. Thanks again everyone 😄

Another lovely morning with our Tuesday team members. The Children's Outpatients is looking good after putting compost and tidied. It's also great to have a new sturdy trolley.

Another busy morning. Watering done at the polytunnel then up to Clywdian House to do all the weeding trimming and a good tidy up. Thought we may have had to cut the hedge but was pleasantly surprised that it had already was done. Helen busy at the polytunnel so a very productive morning for our volunteers.

The vegetable garden really benefited from the storm last night 🌱
Dave and Daria planted out the remaining tomato plants and we harvested the garlic and put some sunflowers in their place🌻

A team of our volunteers finished tidying the Radiography Courtyard today and continued weeding in the Rehab Garden even though it was really hot. This is our third year of working in the gardens and courtyards at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and the hard work in all weathers by our volunteers has created beautiful gardens. Our volunteers, Margaret and John tackled the Radiology courtyard today, weeding the beds and borders and the pathways. Leaves all picked up with them returning to the polytunnel with a full bag for composting. Looking great, now ready for the staff to enjoy sitting out for their breaks. ☺️ 🌼🌸
