As part of National Volunteers Week, we’re recognising the contribution of our colleagues who give their time to support local community initiatives.

Recently, Hannah Gerrard, Accounts Assistant, used her Employee Supported Volunteering (ESV) days to support the Nercwys Music Festival 🎶

The event brought the local community together and successfully raised over £9000, which will be donated to Shooting Star Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Wales Air Ambulance.

We’re proud of our colleagues like Hannah who regularly volunteer their time and skills to support causes that make a difference in our communities 👏

It’s Volunteers’ Week this week! ⭐

A great reminder to say thank you to everyone who gives their time to support local communities.

We’re really proud of our team at Read Construction who regularly get involved in volunteering – whether that’s supporting community events, helping local groups or getting stuck into projects that make a difference close to home.

Through our Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) scheme, everyone can take two days a year to volunteer during working hours, making it that bit easier to get involved.

Thanks to everyone who continues to give their time and energy – it doesn’t go unnoticed 👏

Yesterday, we were pleased to present at the Supply Chain Sustainability School’s ‘Skills for a Net Zero World’ workshop at CIST Coleg Menai, Llangefni 🌍♻️

Our Director, Alex Read, shared insights from our journey towards low-carbon delivery, highlighting the importance of embedding change across teams - not just through training, but through everyday processes and behaviours.

The session explored how Net Zero is becoming business as usual across construction and how developing capability and confidence can unlock opportunities for organisations and the wider supply chain 📈🤝

It was great to be part of such an engaging workshop and to support the development of skills needed across the industry as we move towards a Net Zero future 🌱

Progress Update!

The first section of the ring beam foundation has now been poured on site at the Innospec Administration Building.

With the first of four foundation pours complete, steel fixing is now over halfway through the footings, and all main drainage connections have been successfully tied into the client’s live infrastructure. CFA piling is also complete, enabling the remaining ring beam excavations to progress.

With a steel frame start targeted in the coming weeks, the building will soon begin to take shape on site.
