What a busy weekend, yesterday on the desk the rain helped bring the customer’s into Cambrian House Emporium
We were on with No.9 Records and Vintage .
Today’s flea market went down well, the weather almost held off. We had the odd shower, but battled through.
The pictures are of current stock on RepairRestoreRecycle and Black Sheep and The Dragon (Unit35)
We are back on the desk next Saturday with Clive's Collectables , they have just added some lovely “Stag” bedroom furniture to their unit.

The start of a very busy weekend.
This afternoon we are packing the van ready for the Antique Fair on the front carpark of Cambrian House Emporium SY11 1HS on Sunday.
We then have a day on the desk on Saturday, open 10am till 5pm. Bank holiday weekend should be busy.
Sunday, weather looks ok in the morning. A number of dealers from the emporium are attending the Antique Fair. This will give us a chance to show things that we may not have room to display inside.
Open to the public from 9.30am
Both RepairRestoreRecycle and Black Sheep and The Dragon will be there.
Call in and say hi.

Here we have an English/Welsh porcelain armorial dessert plate, c.1815–1830. It’s decorated as a commemorative or family armorial piece, bearing the arms of Walter Ramsden Hawksworth and Frances Elizabeth Hall.

The shield is not Hawksworth–Wentworth. It is Hawksworth impaling Hall of Skelton Castle.
The left side is Hawksworth: three silver hawks on black.
The right side is the Hall arms: a black chevron between three erased talbot heads.
That matches the recorded arms of the Hall family of Greatford Hall/Skelton Castle.
I have tried to attribute this to Nantgarw Pottery (trust me I have tried very hard), but cannot find similar sizes or weights.

The Hawksworth family connection to Farnley Hall sent me down the path to Nantgarw. This was because Walter Ramsden Hawksworth Fawkes was the owner of Farnley Hall, and had a substantial Nantgarw dinner service commissioned for him around 1817–1820.

Now, the bit I like…..
Someone dropped this plate a very long time ago.
Gave it to someone with great skill and patience.
This person then stapled the plate back together.

I am going to keep this for a while before it heads to Cambrian House Emporium , the collection of is growing.
This is the sort of thing that I don’t want to sell….
But….

So, we have roughly 20kg of LEGO City to sort out. It’s been on the “To Do” list for 12 months.
Yesterday just for a bit of a laugh we purchased 30kg of mixed plastic bits. This was purchased off a fellow dealer within Cambrian House Emporium
So in the boxes there is LEGO and Duplo, we also have "off-brand Lego," "clone bricks," "alternative bricks”.
Now I have heard that we are about to experience the most powerful “El Nino” in living memory.
Stormy and Wet Autumn and Winter.
If that’s the case I may get this lot sorted.
The plan.
1. sort and grade the items.
2. Sonic Clean the bits we are keeping.
3. Check and box the LEGO City.
4. See what we can build out of the remaining bricks to match the booklets.
5. Sell the more unusual parts.

Or, like the Lego City….
Put the lid on the box’s and hide it.

Cambrian House Emporium was busy this afternoon.
Also Oswestry Balloon Carnival is on, this probably adds to the footfall.
We managed to add the pine table to RepairRestoreRecycle, plus a bit of a tidy up.
The small piano chair that we restrung using paracord sold today, it is off to its new home in Germany.
Next weekend we are on the desk on Saturday then at the antique fair on the front carpark.
So this weekend we will fill the van up ready.
Black Sheep and The Dragon took a few pictures of the unit.
These will be posted soon (ish)
