⭐️ Little Stars – First Ever Match Day ⭐️
What a brilliant morning for our Gwersyllt FC Little Stars! It was absolutely lovely to see the children out there playing football with a smile on their face from the very first whistle.
We played against Llay Welfare, who you could tell have played together a few more times than us, but our Little Stars didn’t let that bother them one bit. No one got down about the score; everyone played every minute, and their confidence grew with every match they played.
It was also great to see them all looking smart in their brand‑new Gwersyllt FC kits — they wore them with pride and represented the club brilliantly. Thanks to our sponsors LPW Painters & Decorators and Top Mark Teamwear!
We’re already organising more matches, and with three teams in the league next season, every player will have plenty of opportunities to play.
Anna and I were so proud of every single one of them. For a first-ever match day, they showed teamwork, bravery, smiles, and a real love for the game.
A special shout‑out to our Players of the Match, Freya and Elis, who both showed fantastic effort, confidence, and brilliant attitudes throughout the morning. Bendigedig both of you.
We honestly can’t wait for more matches and to see the teams improve week by week. This is just the start, and the future looks very bright for our Little Stars ⭐️
