Meet Karen Davies, Sales Manager.

With a career spanning decades across sales, construction and sustainable building, Karen brings a people-first approach to sales at Resolution Interiors.

Before joining the team, Karen worked as a Sales Estimator for a commercial property maintenance company specialising in passive fire safety and fire doors across the South of England. Her career originally began in international sales, travelling across Europe and the Caribbean within the yacht insurance sector before eventually finding her place in construction, an industry she has remained passionate about ever since.

Karen also co-ran a specialist cob building company for several years, where she helped deliver a sustainable cob home built to Passive House standards. This project was also featured on Grand Designs.

Now stepping into her role at Resolution Interiors, Karen is excited to focus on what she enjoys most: building meaningful relationships and creating long-term partnerships.

Karen believes success is built on trust, communication and consistency. Her approach centres around transparency and managing expectations from the outset, ensuring clients feel supported throughout every stage of a project.

For universities, teaching spaces are central to student experience, staff effectiveness, and long-term estate performance.

At the University of Brighton, Resolution Interiors delivered a targeted refurbishment programme designed to directly improve how these spaces function day to day.

The focus was on outcomes that matter to estates and academic teams in providing for students.

Transforming Learning Spaces into High-Performance Environments.

We recently delivered a £1.3m design & build refurbishment for the University of Brighton, upgrading 11 lecture theatres and teaching spaces across Falmer and Moulsecoomb campuses.

Working in a live university environment, the programme was carefully phased around academic timetables to minimise disruption while fully modernising outdated spaces. Through detailed planning and strong stakeholder collaboration, we successfully delivered a multi-phased refurbishment across two active campuses.

From 3D scanning and live design development to managing multiple contractors and strict logistics, our approach ensured safe and efficient delivery.

We’ve been shortlisted for the Community Impact Award at the National Project Excellence Awards 2026 by Procure Partnerships!

For many older residents in Brympton Parish, the Brympton Golden Oldies (BGOs) is far more than a Monday morning group; it’s a lifeline of connection, companionship, and support. With attendance regularly reaching 70–100 people, for many, it is their primary source of social interaction.

Since February 2024, Resolution Interiors has supported BGOs through a long-term, hands-on partnership. Our team regularly volunteers at sessions, joins in activities such as quizzes and bingo, and spends time building real connections with members. Alongside this, we’ve delivered practical support, including mobile library units and donated refurbished laptops, to help bridge the digital divide.

The impact has been deeply personal, enabling video calls with loved ones abroad, restoring confidence in everyday online tasks, and helping reduce isolation for those living alone.

What started as a community commitment has grown into something much more meaningful, and we’re incredibly proud to see this work recognised!

Turning a former gym into a flagship retail experience in central London came with significant challenges. From full structural interventions including a new lift and staircase, to comprehensive M&E upgrades, fire compliance works, and navigating conservation-area planning approvals, every detail demanded precision.

Our team managed the project directly under a design and build contract, coordinating bespoke joinery, retail fixtures, and intricate logistics in a tight pedestrianised location. Despite these complexities, we delivered the store in time for the conclusion of existing lease, meeting all regulatory requirements and ensuring Nisbets could relocate without disruption.

We partnered with to deliver their new London flagship store in Covent Garden, taking a business that has a strong online presence and transforming its physical retail offer. Moving from a 50-year-old Shaftesbury Avenue location, this wasn’t just a relocation; it was a chance to redefine the in-store experience.

The new store balances flagship impact with scalability, creating clear product zones, intuitive customer journeys, integrated digital touchpoints, and a dedicated consultation space for commercial kitchen design services. What was once a warehouse-style environment has become a modern retail destination, setting a benchmark for future stores across the UK.

The store fit out at Preston demonstrates just how critical to overall project success the implementation of a comprehensive and well-planned pre-construction phase is. Risks were identified early, mitigating actions were well thought out, and the groundworks were laid to ensure a smooth build phase.

Examples of this include: unearthing previous flooding to the unit and the inclusion of a damp proof membrane to ensure flooring stability; and identifying the need to detail the true gradient change to the front elevation.

Here, the decision was taken to invest in employing our in-house design team to conduct a 3D survey, to inform the absolute accuracy required for the manufacturing of the shopfront.

Our integrated design and build approach allowed the team to make the in-flight adjustments required to ensure a quality finish without compromising on timelines.

Exciting News! Deichmann Preston Store Now Open!

Whilst in the role as Principal Contractor across this project, our in-house design services and end-to-end design and build expertise paid dividends. From winning the competitive tender to completing a full store fit out, working in collaboration with architects, KMB architects, our team managed every aspect of the project: pre-construction, additional surveying and technical design, and seamless construction delivery.

We overcame site challenges, including an uneven façade, significant water egress, and complex logistics, to deliver an operational store on time and to the highest standards.

Our integrated approach allowed us to make swift design adjustments, optimise systems like HVAC for efficiency, and ensure the site was spotless, ready for staff to commence with store fill immediately.
