Bringing the Graham & Brown King’s Road showroom to life was a really interesting balance between retail, experience and community space. From the outset, the brief wasn’t just about showcasing wallpaper and paint; it was about creating somewhere people could actually use.

A place to come in, sit down, explore ideas and build schemes in a very hands-on way. The result is a space that shifts throughout the day from consultations to events to informal walk-ins, and that flexibility has been central to its success.

“What was really important was that the Graham & Brown showroom didn’t just act as a display space. It needed to help people understand how products work together in real life. The paint wall, sliding systems and consultation areas all play into that; they let customers physically engage with the process of designing a space.”

After almost a decade with Resolution Interiors, Alicia Sanders has stepped into the role of Business Development Manager.

Having spent the last ten years working closely with clients, project teams and supply chain partners, Alicia brings a valuable delivery-focused perspective to business development. Her experience across operations gives her a strong understanding of the challenges clients face and what it takes to deliver successful outcomes.

In her new role, Alicia will focus on building and strengthening relationships, supporting existing clients, identifying new opportunities and helping to create a seamless journey from initial conversations through to project delivery.

Alicia is passionate about partnership-led working and believes the best results come from understanding each client’s goals, challenges and ambitions. By combining operational insight with a relationship-first approach, she will play an important role in helping Resolution Interiors continue to deliver value, expertise and trusted support to clients across the UK.

We’re excited to see Alicia bring her experience and knowledge to this next chapter.

A big part of the design thinking was about removing the pressure that often comes with choosing interiors.

The goal was to create a calm, welcoming environment where people feel comfortable experimenting with different paints, wallpapers and fabrics. From softer tonal transitions through the space to the use of natural light, everything was considered to make the experience feel more intuitive and less overwhelming, especially when making decisions that feel quite personal.

At the heart of this project was a simple idea: make the design feel usable, not just visual. Every element in the showroom was considered through the lens of how people actually make decisions about interiors. From colour selection to material pairing, the space was designed to slow things down slightly and give customers time to explore, test and build confidence in their choices. making the experience less about display, more about interaction.

Meet Karen Davies, Sales Manager.

With a career spanning decades across sales, construction and sustainable building, Karen brings a people-first approach to sales at Resolution Interiors.

Before joining the team, Karen worked as a Sales Estimator for a commercial property maintenance company specialising in passive fire safety and fire doors across the South of England. Her career originally began in international sales, travelling across Europe and the Caribbean within the yacht insurance sector before eventually finding her place in construction, an industry she has remained passionate about ever since.

Karen also co-ran a specialist cob building company for several years, where she helped deliver a sustainable cob home built to Passive House standards. This project was also featured on Grand Designs.

Now stepping into her role at Resolution Interiors, Karen is excited to focus on what she enjoys most: building meaningful relationships and creating long-term partnerships.

Karen believes success is built on trust, communication and consistency. Her approach centres around transparency and managing expectations from the outset, ensuring clients feel supported throughout every stage of a project.

Why Better Learning Spaces Matter for Universities!

For universities, teaching spaces are central to student experience, staff effectiveness, and long-term estate performance.

At the University of Brighton, Resolution Interiors delivered a targeted refurbishment programme designed to directly improve how these spaces function day to day.

The focus was on outcomes that matter to estates and academic teams in providing for students.

- Improved acoustics to support clearer, more effective teaching delivery
- Upgraded AV and lighting systems to enable modern, flexible learning
- Inclusive design improvements to enhance accessibility for all users
- Energy-efficient upgrades supporting long-term operational and sustainability goals

By delivering as a single design & build partner, Resolution Interiors helped reduce coordination risk, streamline delivery, and provide greater certainty in a live university environment.

Transforming Learning Spaces into High-Performance Environments.

We recently delivered a £1.3m design & build refurbishment for the University of Brighton, upgrading 11 lecture theatres and teaching spaces across Falmer and Moulsecoomb campuses.

Working in a live university environment, the programme was carefully phased around academic timetables to minimise disruption while fully modernising outdated spaces. Through detailed planning and strong stakeholder collaboration, we successfully delivered a multi-phased refurbishment across two active campuses.

From 3D scanning and live design development to managing multiple contractors and strict logistics, our approach ensured safe and efficient delivery.
