A short clip of an oak beam replacement

As you can see the existing support was in no fit state to be holding the floor joists above

So we removed it completely whilst making sure we had plenty of acro props supporting the joists

Had a new beam made and delivered by yandles

Weighing roughly 350kg we needed a few more hands to get it off the truck and into the house

Few templates and a lot of saw dust later, the new one went up (with help from a genie lift😅)

Respect to the builders back in the day without power tools 😅

Overall the room is now safe, and the beam looks great 🤩

-One corner unit to hide the router ect with a push to open mechanism

-the other one a storage unit and shelves in a spare room.

We are proud to sponsor the Holy Trinity School Association raffle this year!

We hope everybody enjoyed the summer fete on Friday ☺️☀️

We would like to say a BIG thank you to:

- Our parents / carers for your support, engagement and donations

- Towers Wills for once again arranging our signage for us

- Fangs n Feathers for bringing along your critters for the children to handle 🐢🐍

- The school choir, country dancers and Keri Hill Dance for entertaining us with your wonderful performances. Thank you also to Mrs Blake, Mrs Salvetti and Miss Morley for organising the performances!

- Holy Trinity Scouts for kindly lending us your bbq equipment

- A *HUGE* thank you to our bbq kings Al and Dan for stepping up at the last minute and manning the bbq when plans fell through! 🔥

- Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for visiting us in your fire engine and educating us - the children really enjoyed your visit 🚒

- All of the year 6 students who did a super job helping us in the afternoon to set up the fete and also to those who helped us run stalls ⭐️

- The school staff who very kindly stayed on late on a Friday evening to help us run the stalls in the hot weather - we couldn’t do it without you and it is really appreciated!

And finally a great big thank you to the HTSA committee parent volunteers and leadership team who make these events happen so that the children can make special school memories as well as raising funds to enrich the children’s school experience.

There is A LOT that goes on behind the scenes to make these events happen and it would not be possible without our volunteers. Every contribution is appreciated whether it is contributing ideas, sorting donations, selling tickets, manning stalls or spending 11 hours in the school on Friday carrying tables across the field and setting up gazebos in 30 degree heat!

A special mention to our Chair, Sarah, who has done SO much and I’m sure doesn’t want to cut or perforate another raffle ticket for a VERY long time. Also to Kate and Roxy who amongst many other duties also sort all of our risk assessments and finances for these events.

A rustic reception desk created for a local beauty salon

They sent some pictures of rough ideas they liked and we made exactly that 🤩

Using scaffold planks and some spray painted angled steel (supplied by Tim hart metal)

2 bay windows replaced and some french doors added onto the entrance 🤩

Getting rid of the uprights and having 1 big pane of glass in the middle has made a huge difference to the view from inside 😍
