We are delighted to welcome Dylan to Jones Building Group as our new Apprentice Quantity Surveyor.

Dylan joins us following a rigorous apprenticeship recruitment process, which included a series of team building and selection days hosted from our Southeast office in Eastleigh. The standard of applicants was exceptionally high, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to every apprentice who applied and gave up their time to attend. The enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment shown throughout the process were a credit to all involved.
While only one candidate could ultimately be selected for this position, we were genuinely encouraged by the calibre of talent looking to enter our industry, and we look forward to continuing to create opportunities for future apprentices in the years ahead.

At Jones Building Group, making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve remains a key part of who we are as a business.

We’re proud to announce a new training partnership with HMP/YOI Portland, focused on empowering individuals to learn a trade, develop valuable skills and build a pathway towards a positive future in the construction industry.

We started by redecorating the rebranded Jones Building Group construction training facility, but this is just the beginning. Throughout the coming months and into 2027, we plan to deliver practical learning workshops for individuals looking to pursue or re-engage with the built environment sector upon release.

Beyond training, our ambition is to create genuine employment opportunities. We’ll be committing to work experience placements, apprenticeship opportunities and improver roles, helping individuals gain practical experience, learn a trade and take meaningful steps towards full-time, stable and long-term employment.

We believe that access to the right skills, support and opportunities can make a real difference. By helping individuals develop a trade and establish a career, we hope to support lasting change, greater independence and a stronger future for both the individual and the communities around them.

As a family-run business, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the projects we deliver. It’s about investing in people, opening doors that might otherwise remain closed and helping create opportunities that have a lasting impact.

Our Eastleigh Office are delighted to announce a 12-month sponsorship agreement with Stubbington’s Crofton Tigers, Portsmouth.

At Jones Building Group, we believe that investing in our local communities is just as important as delivering high-quality construction and Social Housing projects. That is why we are incredibly proud to sponsor Stubbington’s Crofton Tigers Under 9s Football Team.

Supporting grassroots football provides young people with the opportunity to develop skills that extend far beyond the pitch. Participation in team sports helps children build confidence, resilience, discipline and respect, while also teaching the importance of teamwork, communication and commitment. As part of our Social Value 52 initiative for 2026, Jones Building Group has committed to completing one act of social value every week across our entire branch network throughout the year.

As part of this commitment, along with D Glass, we’re delighted to have recently supported Yeovil Cricket Club by supplying and erecting a new composite fence around the clubhouse. 🏏

Investing in the Next Generation 🎨

At Jones Building Group, we believe the future of our industry starts with investing in the next generation.

We’re delighted to welcome Dexter Yeo to our Painting & Decorating division as our latest apprentice, joining the Class of 2026.

Over the next two years, Dexter will work alongside one of our experienced decorators, developing his practical skills on site while studying Painting & Decorative Finishes at Plymouth City College.
Apprenticeships are a key part of our commitment to developing the skills and talent we need for the future. By combining formal education with hands-on experience, we can give the next generation a strong foundation on which to build a successful career in the construction industry.

We’re also extremely grateful for the long-term stability provided by our framework partners and clients. The consistency and forward workload these partnerships provide gives us the confidence to continue investing in our people and, importantly, allows us to maintain and grow our apprenticeship recruitment programme.
We’re proud to continue creating opportunities for young people to learn, develop and progress within Jones Building Group, while helping to address the skills gap across our industry.

Throwback to another safe and successful specialist coatings project by our Painting Business Unit! 🏗️🎨

Our national specialist coatings team recently completed works at the SWAST Ambulance Centre in Dorset, delivering the project in line with a Giromax specification.

Our fully trained specialist coatings team treated Stage 3 roof corrosion before applying the complete Giromax ® Technology system, ensuring the roof was properly prepared, treated and protected for a further 25 years.

Another great example of the specialist skills, training and attention to detail our teams bring to every project — helping our clients protect their assets and extend the life of their buildings.
