Great progress on 3 of our 5 current live projects this week, with a battle wounded Alex and some serious heat to contend with. Strensall being our main focus ahead of the roofers following on to start getting this extension watertight. We’re trying our best not to complain with the sunshine - before we know it we’ll be back in beanie hats and coats. One things for certain though, rain or shine we’ll be pushing on!

Young Joe gains his Orange jersey!

Joe approached us after our post regarding a labourer as we were desperate for an extra pair of hands. This kid is 17 years old and has possibly the best attitude for a young man of his age I have ever seen. He’s splitting his time doing 3 days a week with us learning the trade and the other 3 days (he works Saturdays) . He works hard, turns up on time and is keen as mustard to learn. He’s also mega with a camera and editing videos.

We’re coming into the busiest time in our businesses history at the moment, inline with our plan and growth strategy, and with that comes a lot of stress. Having the right guys on your team is absolutely essential and with Jack and Alex already bleeding orange, we now see Joe join the crew.

We are pushing the boat out and doing our best to grow into a bigger and more efficient company whilst maintaining our values. As you can see by my hairline the nights are long and the pressure is real. But sooner that than sailing through doing the bare minimum. Life is for getting after and trying to be your best!

Progress at Strensall today and our Rawcliffe garage conversion making moves too! In a few weeks time we will be running 5 separate projects at once. A trial run if you like for future growth of the business and managing projects efficiently with help from our sub contractors. Who would want to see daily updates of everything we’re up to?
