More Raj Green Indian Sandstone laid in Haxby, but using meadow cobbles to give it a more of a defined edge and finish. All the paths were replaced, along with the 2 steps. Sandstone is an affordable, natural stone that is still as popular as ever!

Some nice Indian sandstone laid in Clifton Moor this week! The customers had already installed the sleeper boundaries, so we came in, finished off the planter and filled with soil. The back of the sleepers were protected with visqueen to prolong them. We then prepped the main area and laid a patio pack of Raj Green Sandstone, finished off using a grey jointing compound 🙂

More paving! We followed on from WR Builders once again after they had built a new extension and prepped the ground for us to lay this lovely Kandla Grey porcelain. Low maintain and a nice clean finish is what porcelain does best!

A good sized fence finished off in Haxby last week. We replaced a rotten, wind damaged fence with lovely feather edge panels and concrete posts and gravel boards. Some people say concrete can look a bit industrial or not natural enough, but we think the panels and posts really compliment each other!

A nice little job over in Strensall. All the groundwork were once again pretty much prepped for us, so we were laying paving on the first day! We used Raj Green Sandstone to match the paving at the side of the house, we also moved the side fence forward to create a bigger area for the customers lovely dog! We then finally added a step at the bi-fold doors for better access 🙂

A nice little driveway and fencing job over in Acomb. We removed the old hedge and gate, and dig out all the old turf and soil. We prepped the area with a 225mm subbase, future proofing it for a block driveway, and laid a gravel stabilisation grid to help keep the gravel in place. Finishing it off with standard 20mm gravel. We then replaced the old boundary posts with a 4 foot feather edge panel fence using concrete posts and gravel boards, to match the other fence we did previously.

Unfortunately no before photos, mainly because the previous fence had blown down! But we replaced it with a 6 foot larch lap fence, using concrete posts and gravel boards, dropping down to 4 foot at the front to aid visibility for pedestrians.

Our final big job before Christmas was to finish off this stunning extension and pathway. The work was all prepped by the builders once again so we came in and laid Hexham Grey porcelain underneath the oak veranda. We then made an access path wrapped around using Kandla Grey Sandstone. A lovely finish to the year!

Probably the biggest driveway to date! We made this driveway slightly bigger to help accommodate the bigger vehicles, and at the same time got away with the old concrete and gravel. We used multi size tegular block paving in grey, bordered with dark grey blocks. We also tidied up the front step by getting rid of the old stone, and clad it using Kandla Grey porcelain.

A quick turnaround on this front garden. We opened up the area by removing all the shrubs infront of the window and door, and removed all the old turf. We installed a retaining wall then paved the area with grey antique style paving. We removed the old steps leading down to the driveway and re-set new ones using the same antique style paving at a more accessible, safer pattern. The old turf was replaced with charcoal chippings, edged off with grey stone cobbles

Where do we start with this one! Unbelievable turnaround, from was just a garden full of mud and a few paving flags. CTD Lavastone Grey porcelain was used for the patios and walkway, edged off with anthracite porcelain edging sets. Pergola was made up on site along with the raised planters and painted dark grey. Artifical turf compliments the water feature and vertical sleepers in the corner. And on the other side of the path, blossom gravel was used to surround the plants and finish off the wonderful transformation 🙂
