Hello everyone,

Just to let you know, we are still working during these difficult times.

We are doing all we can to abide by the Government guidelines and the safety of our staff, customers and the general public is of utmost importance to us.

If we visit your property to carry out a survey, or any work we do not need to be inside at any point. We do not require a cup of tea and we do not need to use your facilities. We shall abide by current guidelines with regards to social distancing. We carry and use hand sanitizer regularly. Above all we want you to feel comfortable and safe.

We look forward to seeing you from at least 2 metres away for the time being.

Old rendered bay windows can often leak once the render has come to the end of their natural life and we seem to do rather a lot of these for some reason. The bay was not insulated previously, in fact, they rarely are. We fully insulate them as standard.

A lot of our time is spent at York Minster or one of their many properties. The unique problems that arise with these historic buildings are generally overcome by a very skilled team which include York Minster Stoneyard's own Stonemasons, Joiners, Plumbers, Electricians, Scaffolders and Labourers who are exceptionally skilled themselves. Without them we could not manage to make these wonderful buildings last as long as they do. This is the rear elevation of one of the rental houses adjacent to The Minster where water had been penetrating an outside wall and causing serious damp issues. The wall was capped with first timber, creating an overhanging drip edge, then lead and re-pointed with a lime mix. Another job done by the whole team working together.

Its always nice when home owners who live in adjacent semi detached houses decide to both have their roofs renewed at the same time.
Here we renewed the main roof, front and rear bays and also the porch roofs, as well as renewing all leadwork, soffits, facias and guttering and re-pointing the chimneys.
