Here is a job we have just done in Clifton, York. The old garden wasn't a usable space for a family & was desperate for a face lift.
We put a new 6ft, vertical ranch panel fence up to make the garden more private & secure. We then dug out where the patio was going & put in the type 1 hardcore. We layed the Kandla grey, Marshalls Indian Stone flag with a charcoal border for a contrast & put in a 20mm gravel strip for drainage.
To finish the garden we layed an artificial lawn to give the garden more colour & more importantly somewhere for the customers children to play on safely.
All that is left to do is put up the new gate which is currently being made. This has been another enjoyable job for another great customer.
The fence & gate was supplied & manufactured by On The Fence, Pottery Lane, Strensall.
All the other materials have been purchased from Travis Perkins, Clifton Moor.

This is a porcelain patio we completed last week in Rawcliffe, York. We did the brick & block work on the extension a couple of months ago & got asked if we could come back to do this stage of the job.
The customer now has a more useable area leading from their new kitchen/diner extension.
Another great job completed with Martin James Harper of Y O Scapes.
We have just started a full garden renovation today in Clifton & are starting a single storey, rear extension in Huntington in August 👌

Here is a job we have just done with Martin James Harper at Y O Scapes in Poppleton.
The customer wanted to create more off street parking so we dug down 200mm, put in 150mm of Type 1 hardcore, a heavy duty w**d membrane & finished it with 20mm gravel. We laid concrete edgings on the perimeter to retain the driveway & layed a brindle block around the edge to frame the area.
Another good, enjoyable job for another great customer.

Here is a job we have done this week in Poppleton. The old patio was uneven & seen better days & the hedge had no life to it.
We dug everything out, put a hardcore base down & laid grey Indian stone flags which we pointed with Nexus Titan flowpoint.
The customer is going to plant a new hedge at both sides herself.

Here is a job we completed a couple of weeks ago, designed & built by Martin James Harper at Y O Scapes.
The previous patio was dated & didn't serve a purpose & the rest of the garden was lacking character. We used timber sleepers to retain the upper level of the garden & to form a step.
A new fether edge fence was installed on all 3 sides of the garden & a feather edged gate was installed to make the garden private & secure.
The customer chose to have artifical grass installed to reduce the maintenance of the garden, 2 flower beds were put in ready for the customer to put their stamp on the garden.
We put in a concrete base ready for a 8ft x 6ft shed to be installed.
The Indian stone flags give the garden a fresh look & somewhere usable for a table & chairs to enjoy that glass of wine or bottle of beer.
This was another enjoyable job to do & it was nice to of done everything in the garden to reach its full potential.

We dug out the foundations by hand & mixed the concrete for the footings & floor ourselves which was fun in this heat!

This is the job we completed last week in Shipton, York. The customer wanted to extend their current patio to make it a bigger & more usable space from the double doors of their extension.
We built a double skin wall to retain the raised area & layed Marshalls Heritage Yorkstone flags to match the existing.
Our customer has planted a hedge to each side of the step leading off the patio & this will look great when it has grown.

Here is a job we have just completed in Fifth Avenue, York. The customer wanted a bigger door opening to allow more natural light into their kitchen. With the opening we had to work with to work with the kitchen layout & the structural engineer an aluminium sliding door was the chosen option.
We propped the outer skin, inner skin & the floor joists which also sat on the inner skin. We formed a stud wall & boarded the opening allowing us to do our job & keep the property secure at all times. A steel was used for the inner skin & a heavy duty angle iron lintel was used for the outer skin.
We re used some of the bricks from the opening to build the right side out by 2 bricks which helped it to blend in better. We used new bricks to go over the lintel to get a cleaner finish & also put in the rosemary tile detail to match the rest of the property.
Inside has also been boarded & skimmed & the electric light switch & socket have been moved.
Thanks to everyone who has worked on this project & made it stress free & enjoyable.
Once again the customer is really happy with all our work which is always our aim on all of our jobs, big or small.

Here is the job we have completed today in Osbaldwick. We built the extension last year & got asked to come back to do a raised patio area.
We dug out the footings, poured the concrete & built 3 course of engineering bricks to get to our height & so it matched & coursed in with the extension.
We layed drainage pipes to allow the air to still flow under the timber structured floor in the extension & also put in a row of acco drains to stop any damp occurring.
Artisan Rose Indian stone flags were chosen by the customers & we used the neutral coloured Nexus Titan flowpoint for the pointing which is the best product out there.
Both the customer & ourselves are really happy with how this patio looks. Another enjoyable job for a another great set of customers.
