Mains board change done today!

This was a well needed mains board change as you can see from the photos. With the old push in fuses your not guaranteed the protection and safety as you are with the new one. The customer asked us to come and look to see if it would require changing…. And it did.

We’ve updated it to the current regs (metal, RCD protection and with an SPD, surge protection device), certificated at the end and sent on completion of the job. Another happy customer 👍🏼

We’ve started converting a garage into a usable room, somewhere for the kid to play with a little office in the back. This involved us adapting the socket circuit to incorporate new sockets in the garage, this was also done with the lighting for spotlights through out. A new socket added in the existing living room for the tv to be wall mounted, keep an eye out for when we go back and get it finished 😊

Had a couple of jobs on this week. At the beginning of the week we started a kitchen rewire ready for the plasterer to get in and the kitchen be fitted. This consisted of rewiring the kitchen sockets, a new lighting circuit for the spotlights/ outside lights and pulling in 2 new cables for the double over and hob. We can wait to see the finished result on this!

The ceiling is due to be dropped so it looks abit messy but bare with us, it’s going to look amazing! If you’re thinking of getting a new kitchen, a rewire or outside lights replacing, nothing is too small. Please send us a message and we’ll see how we can help 👍🏼

We’ve been in sunny Blackpool this week, this time going back to a Yates’s pub that we’ve previously done work at before.

This time we’ve disconnected a walk in fridge due to the floor degrading and becoming unsafe, all the walls white rocked and then we’ve gone in and installed some dado trunking. This was installed in the kitchen and cellar for them to have multiple fridges and freezers. All tested and certification issued on completion, manager and company very happy with our work 👍🏼

We don’t just do domestic, so if you’ve got a business unit/ office or even workshop and you need some work doin please done hesitate to send us a message.

Another full rewire of a house in kippax finished this week, this was a challenging one due to it been a lived in house. This was a very old install with only 1 socket in each room and a mains board with re-wireable fuses, and light switches where light switches didn’t need to be.

We sat down with the client and went through everything they wanted and the finishes they had in mind. We made a plan of how we was going to do it and the client was very happy!

The rewire consisted of new socket circuits, lighting circuits, mains powered smoke alarms and a heat in the kitchen. Spotlights in the bathroom and kitchen and extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom. Outside security lights and an electric shower to be re-fed as they were keeping it until they updated the bathroom.

We managed to get this done in 4 days, start to finish. Personally I think the job went very well and mess was kept to a minimum!

We started this extension before Christmas but because we’ve been that busy we haven’t had time to post anything.

This double story extension has been fully first fixed with spotlights through out, an en-suite, bedroom, little toilet and a kitchen. This has been a great job and very satisfying watching the build progress.

We’ve now cut out all the spotlights throughout the house, box fixed the sockets and light switches and cut out for the speakers getting installed in the ceiling. A new mains board has been installed up to current regulations along with bonding to the gas and water supplies.

Next is the new kitchen to be installed along with the media wall and bathroom upstairs so there will be more updates and photos to follow 👍🏼

Little job we did today getting a supply to the top of the garden for a hot tub. After looking at the existing wiring to the garage and bar we decided that it’s best if it has its own feed to a little DB. Customer also asked us to install a light for when there in the hot tub on a night. Happy customer and a good days work 👍🏼

What a lovely few jobs to wrap up the week! This customer has a list as long as your arm of jobs they want doing so we made a start today. Extra socket in the little bedroom, moving 2 sockets up in the loft extension for the bed side tables, a reading lamp installed above that and some spot lights above the front door 👍🏼

Back to one of our repeat clients this morning to fit some outside emergency lighting along side the exterior light we’ve fitted previously. All wired in LSF (low smoke and fume) cable to co-inside with regulations of a day centre/ care home. All tested and commissioned making sure there coming on in emergency mode and also charge mode.

A project we got finished just before Christmas. This was a 4 month job of a day unit at a care home in Peter-lee. Completely back to brick and all new rooms/ spa bathroom/ toilets/ physio room and store rooms formed. All done from scratch with a new three phase mains board complete with SPD and AFDD breakers. The electrical installation was all designed and installed by ourselves and on completion all necessary certificates and documents issued.
