The grind doesn’t stop at DPT & Son. We have been working hard on this full house renovation that we competed recently, in a picturesque village near York. As you can see, the transformation here was incredible and has given the property some much needed life, while still keeping some of the original character in tact.

We removed and disposed of the old kitchen and relocated the new kitchen (supplied by Howdens) to a more suitable area, removing the entire floor then tiling throughout with natural finish limestone. We added a pantry and utility area along with a smart new boot room (all from Howdens) and downstairs WC.

We created a new downstairs bedroom with ensuite, 2 new bedrooms upstairs and a beautiful new patio area outside. We installed some amazing features throughout, here are some, to name a few: oak beams, oak barn doors, fitted wardrobes and an integrated rising socket and power bank in the kitchen, electric solid oak gates.

Huge thanks to all of our subcontractors for helping get this one over the line and to Arran, who worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail was covered. He worked closely with the clients to make sure they were completely happy with every aspect.

We’re excited to share a project that we are currently working on, set in a charming area of York.

Our job in Heworth is well underway now, where a single story, rear extension has been added, along with 2 large roof lanterns and sliding doors. The plastering has now been completed and we’re currently on to the kitchen installation.

More updates on this project to follow.

We are delighted with the finish on this full house renovation completed in Easingwold. We extended the kitchen adding in 2 lanterns above to allow more light to flood through, finishing off with a patio area to the rear garden. The ground floor extension created a large kitchen/dining area with utility. A dormer was added on the top floor converting the loft into a bedroom with ensuite. We can’t believe we’re nearing the end of the year already!

We have been so busy creating our clients dream homes, that we haven’t had time to sit and appreciate the amazing transformations. With numerous extensions and renovations still underway, we have some impressive projects to show you some progress on.

We’re now over 3/4 of the way through our barn conversion project and everything is taking shape nicely.

Both internally and externally, there have been huge changes. The walls have been fully insulated and plastered, a staircase has been added and second fix joinery is underway. New windows and doors have been fitted, the exterior has been rendered and solar panels have been added to the new roof.

Huge progress has been made over at the barn conversion recently, our client’s vision is all starting to come together. 📸

Here’s just some of the work we have completed so far: We’ve stripped off the old roofs, dug out floor levels for the new sub-floor, added new sub-floor, fit new floor joists and flooring to the first floor, fit new steel ridge beams and fit new timber roofs to barn.
