Showroom Sales Assistant

Location: York Showroom
Position Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week or part time, 21 hours per week available
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Showroom Sales Assistant to join us. If you love design, enjoy chatting with people, and want a rare retail role with no weekend hours, we want to hear from you!
What the Role Involves
You will be the face of our York showroom, ensuring every visitor has a fantastic experience. Your day-to-day will include:
Customer Engagement: Welcoming walk-in retail clients and trade customers, understanding their project needs, and guiding them through our product ranges.
Sales & Consultation: Advising on product features, benefits, and suitability (tiles, taps, showers, and suites) to help customers make informed decisions.
Showroom Excellence: Maintaining a clean, tidy, and beautifully presented showroom that showcases our products at their best.
Administration: Creating basic price quotes, processing orders, responding to email or phone inquiries, and liaising with suppliers regarding stock.
Who We Are Looking For
You don't need to be a bathroom technical genius on day one—we can teach you that! What we really need is:
A friendly, approachable, and confident personality with excellent face-to-face communication skills.
A keen eye for detail and a natural interest in home design, interiors, or home improvement.
Reliability and punctuality—you'll be looking after the showroom during your shift.
Basic computer literacy (for managing emails, checking stock, and raising customer invoices).
Previous experience in retail, customer service, is a major plus, but a great attitude is what matters most.
