✅ Project Complete: St Leonard's Hospice, Acomb

From empty space to fully stocked shop floor - we’re proud to share that this transformation is complete, and the shop is now open to the public!

We delivered a fresh, functional space designed to help maximise sales for the hospice, and it’s fantastic to see it filled with stock and welcoming customers through the door.

It’s been a pleasure to support such a fantastic local cause once again, and we’re really pleased with how it’s turned out.

📍Project Update: St Leonard’s Hospice, Acomb

Real progress to share on our charity shop transformation for St Leonard's Hospice!

➡️ Wall panelling and ceiling works complete throughout
➡️ Self-levelling compound down, ready for flooring
➡️ New LVT flooring going in section by section
➡️ Display units and fixtures being built ready for fit-out

The space is really starting to come together now, and it’s brilliant to see it shift from bare shell to a proper retail environment. Every stage brings us closer to handing over a shop that works hard for such a fantastic local cause.

📍Project Update: St Leonard's Hospice, Acomb

Things are really taking shape at our latest charity shop transformation for St Leonard's Hospice in Acomb!

The team have been hard at work getting the space ready:

➡️ Strip out and site prep complete
➡️ Layout taking shape for both retail floor and back-of-house
➡️ Electrics and first fix underway

It's brilliant to watch an empty unit start turning into a proper retail space, and even better knowing every penny raised here goes straight back into supporting the hospice's incredible work.

❓FAQ: “Do I need to close my shop during the work?”

Not necessarily - and it’s one of the first things we plan for.

We know that every day your doors are closed is lost revenue, so minimising disruption is built into how we work from day one:

➡️ Phased works where possible, so parts of your shop can stay trading
➡️ Site schedules planned around your trading hours, not the other way round
➡️ Clear timelines agreed upfront, so you know exactly what to expect and when

For smaller refurbishments, many businesses stay open throughout. For larger fit-outs, we’ll always be upfront if a short closure is the most efficient option - and we’ll help you plan around it to keep the impact as small as possible.

Every project is different, which is why we talk through your specific setup before any work begins.
