The Voices of Retail 2026 report is out, and one finding stands out: 71% of UK retailers describe their business as growing or stable right now.
Not the doom and gloom you usually see in the headlines.
Consumers are still visiting. Still spending - an average of £67 every time they walk into a high street, with 51% going at least once a week.
The businesses doing well aren’t doing anything magic. They’re making sure their space works properly - that customers can find what they need, that the layout feels intuitive, that the environment reflects what the business stands for.
➡️ Good design keeps customers in store longer
➡️ Logical flow means fewer missed sales
➡️ The right fixtures tell your story before staff say a word
After 20+ years in shopfitting, we’ve worked with farm shops, butchers, coffee shops, garden centres and more. The businesses that invest in their spaces are the ones that keep customers coming back.
If you’re thinking about a refit or new fit-out - we’d love to hear what you’re planning.
