The Health & Safety objectives to which `'Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC'' assigns the utmost importance are:

• To eliminate or to reduce to minimum the risk of incident adopting a prevention and protection system during all operating activities, according to the principle that all incidents may be prevented;
• To comply with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements subscribed and/or adopted by the company and to apply the strictest standards wherever possible;
• To protect the health of employees and third parties that may be effected be company’s activities;
• To safeguard the properties of both company and third parties.

The company aims at reaching these objectives by:

• Ensuring an adequate level of training to all interested parties in relation to occupational health and safety;
• Involvement and active participation of workers;
• Using an effective internal communication system to ensure health and safety information to everyone involved in company activities;
• Guaranteeing the availability of resources (human, technical and financial) for developing and implementing the occupational health & safety management system;
• Defining roles, tasks and responsibilities of employees in relation to Policy’s issues;
• Implementing an effective occupational health & safety management system applied to all company activities;
• Continuously improving the company’s occupational health & safety management system by periodically reviewing performance indicators, according to company management principles and to current industrial standards.
