A LINTEL is a pervasive part of buildings. Although lintel construction is simple and commonly used, it stands as an essential and valued facet in civil engineering.

A lintel is a type of beam wielded to support the above wall or partition material when openings like doors, windows, and so forth are necessary to provide a building structure.

1. Timber lintel
2. Brick lintel
3. Reinforced brick lintel
4. Stone lintel
5. Steel lintel
6. Reinforced Concrete lintel [Commonly used and most preferred].
