A Home Nearly Caught Fire Because of a Plugged-In Appliance
A family narrowly avoided a potentiallv devastating house fire after an appliance that had been left plugged in reportedly exploded in the early hours of the morning
The incident was captured on CCTV. According to a post by Ms. Tiriray, she woke up after noticing the smell of smoke and was able to respond immediately, preventing the situation from becoming much worse.
Fortunately, no one was reported injured, and everyone inside the house was brought to safety.
This incident is a serious reminder that electrical appliances should never be treated as harmless when left unattended or plugged in for long periods.
Before going to sleep or leaving your home, unplug appliances that do not need to remain connected to power. Regularly inspect plugs, cords, outlets, and extension wires for signs of overheating, burning, damage, or unusual smell.
