GOOD MORNING FAMILY. OUR RHEMA FOR DEVOTION AND MEDITATION.

Prayer based on Job 38:1-11:

*Prayer:*

"Father, we come before You, acknowledging Your majesty and sovereignty over creation.

Just as You laid the foundations of the earth (Job 38:4-6), we ask You to lay a new foundation in our lives, establishing Your purposes and plans.

As You set boundaries for the seas (Job 38:8-11), we pray You set boundaries in our lives, protecting us from harm and guiding us in Your will.

Just as Your morning light prunes and trains creation (Job 38:7), we ask You to shine Your light upon us, pruning away what hinders our growth and training us for Your purposes.

As You speak from the whirlwind (Job 38:1), we pray You speak to us, revealing Your plans and strategies.

We acknowledge Your sovereignty over every aspect of our lives, and we surrender to Your divine architecture.

*Prophetic Declarations:*

- "I declare God's majesty and sovereignty over my life."
- "I receive new foundations of purpose and plan."
- "I walk in divine protection and guidance."
- "I am pruned and trained for God's purposes."
- "I hear God's voice, guiding me in His will."

*Supernatural Prayer Activations:*

- Activate angelic assistance to establish God's purposes.
- Release creative miracles, transforming our lives.
- Unleash divine light, dispelling darkness.
- Ignite prophetic vision, revealing God's plans.

*Scripture Confessions:*

- "You laid the foundations of the earth." (Job 38:4)
- "You set a boundary that the waters may not transgress." (Job 38:10)
- "Your morning light will rise." (Job 38:7)

*Reflection Questions:*

1. What areas of your life need new foundations?
2. Where do you need divine protection and guidance?
3. How can you surrender to God's sovereignty?

GOD BLESS US ALL AND CAUSE US TO BE FRUITFUL.
AND
LET'S JESUS CHRIST BE REVEALED AND JESUS CHRIST BE GLORIFY IN AND THROUGH OUR LIFE. AMEN !!!!!!!

Here are some prayer points based on Isaiah 60:1-2 for day 5 of the 7-day prayer and fasting experience:

*Isaiah 60:1-2*

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you."

*Prayer Points:*

1. Lord, help me arise from spiritual slumber and shine Your light in my life.
2. Let Your glory rise upon me, and may I reflect Your radiance in all I do.
3. I pray for the darkness of sin, fear, and doubt to be dispelled by Your light.
4. May Your glory appear over me, and may I be a beacon of hope in a world filled with darkness.
5. Help me to walk in Your light, and may I be a source of guidance for others.
6. I pray for the light of Your Word to illuminate my path and guide me in Your truth.
7. May Your glory rise upon Your church, and may we shine as a collective light in the darkness.

*Confession:*

- I am a child of light, and I arise to shine God's glory.
- God's light dwells within me, and I radiate His presence.
- I walk in the light of God's Word, and I am guided by His truth.

*Action Point:*

- Take a moment to reflect on areas of your life where you may be experiencing darkness or struggle. Ask God to shine His light upon those areas, and trust in His guidance and glory.

Isaiah 60:1-2 says:"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.For behold, darkn...

Isaiah 60:1-2 says:
"Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you."

This passage is a beautiful prophetic message of hope and encouragement, speaking to the people of God about:

- Their calling to arise and shine, embracing their purpose and identity
- The coming of God's light and glory, bringing illumination and transformation
- The contrast between the darkness of the world and the radiant glory of God
- The promise of God's presence and glory being evident in their lives

This passage is often seen as a messianic prophecy, pointing to the coming of Jesus Christ as the light of the world. However, it also has application for believers today, encouraging us to:

- Embrace our identity as children of God
- Shine with the light of God's love and grace
- Trust in God's presence and glory, even in dark times
- Reflect God's glory to the world around us.

Come and let's arise, shine, and seek God's glory together.

James 1:19-20
Listening and doing
19 📚So, my beloved brethren, let everyone be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to get angry. 20 📚For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

NOTES:
1:19 “Swift to hear”– he may mean swift to hear God’s Word, or, possibly, a willingness to listen to what others have to say.
“Speak”– Jam 3:1-8; Prov 10:19; 13:3; 17:28; 29:20; Matt 12:36-37. People who talk too much will surely say much that is useless or wrong or harmful, and they will not be able to hear what they should hear.
“Slow to get angry”– Matt 5:22; Eph 4:26; Prov 16:32. Man’s anger, even so-called righteous anger, does not establish or promote God’s righteousness. Compare 2 Tim 2:24-25. Gentleness and meekness are much more useful than any kind of anger we can display.
1:19-20 From thoughts of the new birth he turns to thoughts of what that experience should produce in our lives.

INSPIRATION:
Anger is a natural emotion we will feel at one time or another. Anger can be dangerous if we allow it to control our lives; acting out of fury does not reflect the righteousness of God. In anger, we shout out hurtful words, and bitterness stirs up jealousy in our hearts. Anger pushes people away from us; they lack respect for us and begin to think poorly of our character. We understand this is not a reflection of God, and we must take our emotions to Him before we hurt people.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we become angry throughout our lifetime. Please forgive us for our outbursts and teach us to stop allowing anger to control our lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

GOD BLESS US ALL AND CAUSE US TO BE FRUITFUL.
AND
LET'S JESUS CHRIST BE REVEALED AND JESUS CHRIST BE GLORIFY IN OUR LIFE. AMEN !!!!!!!

Ezekiel 3:17
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Inspiration:
As Christians, we are sometimes called to speak words of caution and wisdom to those in our care. But who, exactly is in our care? It could be your congregation, your Sunday school class, or even your family. No matter how big or small your charge, all of us who are appointed as leaders have a duty to exercise watchful care over others and speak up when needed.

Prayers:
Lord, thank You for the people that You have entrusted to my leadership and care. Please instill in me a heart of vigilance so that I may faithfully carry out my leadership duties. Give me the wisdom to discern where warnings are needed, and the words to speak them in grace. And give me ears to hear the wisdom of the leaders that watch over me, too. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Dear God,
Fill our hearts with compassion and kindness as we interact with others. Let us not be quick to judge, but rather eager to understand and support those around us. Remind us that in every person, there’s a story, a journey, and a soul created in Your image.

Empower us to be vessels of Your love, extending grace and kindness even when it’s challenging. May our actions and words reflect the boundless love and mercy You have shown us, inspiring others to do the same.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

4 Courageous Women Who Followed God with Boldness

Writer
Kirstyn Mayden

UPDATED April 11, 2023

Women in the Bible have played influential and transformative roles for centuries. Although many stories have not been widely shared, there are incredible women who followed God with courage, boldness, and conviction. Despite the cultural and social limitations that women faced, they chose to trust God and follow where God led them.

May we see their lives as examples of how to continue to follow God through both joyous and challenging seasons of life. Despite adversity that we will face, God has equipped and empowered us to overcome and accomplish the purposes God has for us. I invite you to learn and be inspired by these four women in the Bible who never wavered in their commitment to following God.

1. Mary, Mother of Jesus (Read Luke 1:26-38)

Mary, the mother of Jesus was an incredible woman who followed God with strength and boldness. Her “yes” and trusting God’s plan for her life allowed for her to give birth to Jesus, the Messiah.

Despite extraordinary circumstances, Mary decided to trust God without understanding. Her tenacity, strength, and unwavering commitment proved to be one of the greatest decisions of her life and for the Christian faith.

When God spoke to Mary through the angel Gabriel, she was a virgin, unmarried and afraid. Although Mary was afraid and faced uncertainty, she trusted God’s plan for her life and followed with faith, hope and trust. You may not have all the answers or don’t understand where God is taking you in this season, but I invite you to be encouraged by Mary’s example. Say “yes” to God’s plan for your life and be encouraged that He will strengthen you and provide guidance.

2. Esther (Read Esther 1-4)

In the face of adversity, Queen Esther demonstrated amazing courage. Esther was courageous when she spoke to King Xerxes of Persia asking him to spare the life of the Jews. She knew that her speaking up would have consequences, but she spoke up anyway. Esther wanted to defend her people. To follow God with boldness, she was willing to let go of her position or status to be led by God and follow out his calling.

God will equip you with all you need to courageously live out the calling He has placed on your life. Similarly to Esther who rose to speak on behalf of the Jews, we must rise up and take our rightful place. With tenacity and zeal, I invite you step out and fulfill the specific assignment that God has for you. We can learn from Esther’s story the value and importance of standing up for what is right, even when we are standing alone.

3. Naomi (Read Ruth 1)

When Naomi’s husband and two sons died, she chose to follow God to Bethlehem. While she was overcome with grief, Naomi didn’t allow her grief to consume her; she chose to follow God while she was broken and grieving.

Despite what season or situation you may be facing, I invite you to continue to follow God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Following God will take you to unknown places, situations, and will encourage you to surrender to God. Being courageous doesn’t mean that you won’t make mistakes, but it does mean that you have made the decision to trust in God’s sovereignty and direction.

Naomi’s circumstance wasn’t perfect or ideal, but she pressed forward and traveled where God led her. During Naomi’s grief, she opened her heart to her daughter-in-law, Ruth, encouraging her as a mentor. We can learn from Naomi the power of being selfless in times of adversity. Like God used Naomi to minister to Ruth, God will use you to minister to the hearts and lives of others during their time of need. Be encouraged and inspired by Naomi’s selflessness.

4. Deborah (Read Judges 4-5)

Deborah was a mighty woman in the Bible who was both a prophet and a judge. She was the only female judge of Israel and helped to lead the Israelites to become victorious in battle over the army of Sisera. Deborah was an amazing leader and influencer who empowered Barak and 10,000 men to lean on God for strength to overtake Sisera’s army (Judges 4:14-15).

As Deborah was leading, she made clear the importance of glorifying God in her actions. She knew that God used and elevated her to accomplish God’s purposes, and she ensured that God would continue to be glorified (Judges 4:9). I invite you to read Judges 4 and 5 to learn more about Deborah and her role as a prophet and judge of Israel.

Let us learn from Deborah the value of putting God first in all areas of our lives including leadership roles. She was a wise woman who consulted God for guidance and direction.

How Can We Respond?

Following God takes courage and a decision to move out of our comfort zones. It is easy to say we will be courageous, but taking the first step forward in the face of opposition is difficult. Each of these women exemplified incredible courage, strength, trust and a desire to follow God at all costs. I invite you to study further and be inspired by these dynamic women of the Bible who were committed to worshipping God with not only their words, but their actions.

Whatever season you are currently in, God has given you the same boldness, courage, and opportunity to lean on God and trust Him more. It is not always easy to continually practice these traits, but it is possible through the work of the Holy Spirit. You have a uniquely designed purpose and God will give you all the tools needed to fulfill that purpose.

If you are struggling to follow God with courage and steadfastness, I invite you to pray for direction. God will direct you and empower you to do so. Friend, be encouraged and be reminded that you too have what it takes to follow God with boldness.

1 Timothy 6:20
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

INSPIRATION:
Just because a new idea sounds intelligent, that doesn’t mean it is true. And just because a new trend looks appealing, that doesn’t mean it is right. We have been given the Word of God, the life of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to guide us in all truth. Let us not give ear to the voices that would oppose the truth that God has already given us, so that we may remain steadfast in Him.

PRAYER:
Lord, in the clamor of voices in our world, I desire to hear Yours. In the onslaught of information, give me the wisdom to sift truth from falsehood. Help me to not be deceived by false knowledge that sets itself up against You, and instead rely on Your word and Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Verses to Encourage Dad This Father’s Day
As we approach Father's Day and let's take a moment to honor and celebrate the roles our fathers have played in our lives, it is fitting to take a moment to offer words of encouragement and inspiration to all the dads out there.

For so many fathers, myself included, fatherhood has been a remarkable journey filled with joys, challenges, and opportunities for growth. If you are like me, you have felt the immense responsibility of being a father and the challenge of influencing and shaping the lives of your children. While we may not have done this perfectly, the prayer is that our lives are leaving a lasting impact on the ones we are parenting.

In this fast-paced world, where the demands and pressures of daily life can sometimes be overwhelming, it is important for you to remember that your life has a profound influence on the lives of your children. Your life matters to them, as does your involvement.

To find inspiration as a father there is no better place to turn than God’s word and the timeless wisdom found in the Scriptures. God's Word provides a wellspring of encouragement and guidance for you as a father and will help you navigate the challenges and joys of your important role. The goal of these verses is to uplift and inspire you in your fatherhood journey, and hopefully will continue to motivate you to embrace this high calling and remain committed to it with a renewed determination.

Some of these verses will point to our heavenly Father – who is our greatest example – and the ultimate model of fatherhood we should all ascribe to. When you consider how he deals with us, you should take note of his abundant grace and wisdom and incorporate that into how you deal with your children. Allow his wisdom to shape your decision-making and character development as a father. By drawing from the well of God's Word, it will help you strive to be the best father you can be.

So, as we approach this special day of honoring fathers, let these verses speak to your heart and inspire you to embrace your role with dedication, humility, and a deep sense of purpose.

Verses to Remind You That God Will Be Faithful to You and Your Children

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments” (Deuteronomy 7:9).

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

“He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:8-9).

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:13-14).

“Your word, Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures” (Psalm 119:89-90).

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).

Verses to Remind You of the Joys of Being a Father

“Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court” (Psalm 127:3-5).

“The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him” (Proverbs 23:24).

Verses to Encourage You to Train Your Children Well

“Discipline your children, for in that there is hope;
do not be a willing party to their death” (Proverbs 19:18).

“Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

“The righteous lead blameless lives;
blessed are their children after them” (Proverbs 20:7).

“By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures” (Proverbs 24:3-4).

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them” (Deuteronomy 4:9).

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).

“But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts” (Psalm 103:17-18).

Verses to Encourage You about the Heart of a Father

“As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him” (Psalm 103:13).

“For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory” (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

“It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth” (3 John 1:3-4).

“My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in” (Proverbs 3:11-12).

“The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).

“So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him” (Luke 15:20).

To all the fathers out there, I pray you have a happy Father’s Day. To the two wonderful children who I get to be a father to, I pray that every day I would walk worthy of this office that God has so graciously called me to.

Happy Father's Day.
