2021 Business Report Highlights
*Overview*
We started 2021 with some scepticism following almost a year of lockdown, but we were geared up with great faith for exploits in the year.
In the first quarter, I began conversation with a client (Client 1[2021]) on a two-bedroom cement block house he intended to put up at Adidome (Volta Reg). After some weeks of deliberations and having the building plan agreed on, the project commenced in mid-year.
About the same time that we were preparing to move to site of Client 1[2021], client 2 [2021] came in and we started conversations with her. Hers was a 3-bedroom interlocking brick house at New Tafo (E/R). Discussions went well, drawings were thoroughly discussed and agreed, and we commenced work on client 2's project even ahead of client one because client 2 [2021] came in with some sort of urgency.
Work in the Eastern Reg. presented some challenges; especially, being in the mid-year (rainy season). However, client 2 [2021] wanted the project completed at all costs, and several factors led to the project being halted after completing the second phase.
Client 1[2021] project also came online about the same time we were trying to round up on client 2[2021] project. My small team was wearied given that we had to make another travel, and so I used local hands to work on that project. I anticipated client 1[2021] project to be slow and prolonged due to his financing arrangement.
We discussed Client 1[2021] position thoroughly and settled for the best option because our goal is to give the best service, and to help the client choose the best option.
We came back to Winneba, and in October, we had concluded arrangements to commence work on Client 3[2021] project.
We began setting out and a litigant came in. The land litigation stretched for some months. We got cleared to resume work on the project. Client 3[2021] exhaustive pursuit to secure his land informed us that we can began in first quarter of 2022.
*Important Metrics*
And here we are today, looking back at a year full of great expectations, plans, challenges, successes, and above all great learning experiences that we're grateful for.
2021 was a good year for us; our company directly worked with 19 people on the New Tafo (E/R) project, 12 people on the Adidome project (V/R) and 18 people on our different works in Winneba. In all, we worked with 45 individuals; 7 females and 38 males. We maintained 3 permanent workers all through 2021 and the remaining 42 have worked with us; some on day jobs, some on frequent call ups, but many of the 42 have worked with us between 1 - 3 months during the year 2021.
This is an important statistic for us since we did not anticipate that our engagement will create jobs for such a number of people in the year 2021. Financially, we recorded astronomical increase in revenue in 2021 output. Our operation have become sustainable as we grow further in the coming years.
