New holiday house project | 184,52 m²

The project involves the design of a holiday rental house in a rocky area, northwest of the Chania region. The goal is to harmoniously integrate the house into the natural terrain and minimize its environmental footprint, while taking advantage of the view towards the Gulf of Kissamos. The house is developed on three levels: the basement (sleeping areas), the ground floor (living areas with a balcony and pool), and the loft (master bedroom). The living room is separated from the kitchen and dining area by an atrium made of glass, like an opening that pierces through the entire structure, allowing nature to pe*****te the interior, contributing bioclimatically and enhancing privacy.

Two new holiday houses project | 194,16 m²

The project involves the design of two short-term rental holiday houses in a rocky area in the northwest of Chania. The main objective is to harmonize with the Cretan natural landscape and utilize the view of V. The houses are developed on two levels: the ground floor, with living areas, two bedrooms, and a pool, and the loft, with two additional bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. A green filter between the houses enhances privacy and bioclimatic functionality, allowing nature to blend seamlessly between them.

Addition to existing building project | 109,23 m²

The project involves the addition of a new small apartment building behind an existing neoclassical building. The new structure, elevated on pilotis, includes a small temporary rental residence on the first floor and a duplex on the second and third floors for the owner. The addition is designed to maintain architectural harmony with the existing building and to integrate seamlessly into the character of the neighborhood.

The entire construction is articulated around a
courtyard. The façade features sliding metal
panels that function as a filter towards the city. On
the side of the open space, it lightens upwards by
recessing inward. This achieves better ventilation
and sunlight conditions.

The study is located in the eastern geographic unit of Crete, focusing on the Ottoman fortifications of the Pahia Ammos - Ierapetra pass. The aim is to highlight the cultural heritage of the area. The pass extends from Pahia Ammos (in the North) to Ierapetra (in the South), crossing an isthmus between mountains and hills. The central point of the isthmus is the Ottoman fortress of Episkopi, located on a hill northeast of the settlement of Episkopi, Ierapetra. The study proposes the connection of the Ottoman fortress with the settlement via a walking, nature trail as a branch of the European Path E4. The modern interventions in the settlement square and on the hill are harmoniously integrated into the existing historical environment, highlighting it.
