International Competition - 1st Prize.
The project proposes a social housing complex composed as a rhythmic sequence of solid volumes and inhabited voids. Rather than forming a continuous block, the repetition of the housing units creates a porous building mass that retains the scale of the individual dwelling and relates to the surrounding residential fabric.
The solid elements accommodate the more private and functional spaces of each home, while entrances, kitchens, dining areas and covered terraces occupy the intermediate zones between them. At the centre of each unit, the kitchen and dining table define the point where interior and exterior space meet, transforming the void into an active part of everyday domestic life.
